    Johnson Electric installed my outdoor lighting. Fast, efficient, and reasonably priced! New lightning looks amazing!

    This company was sub-contracted last winter to do the electrical wiring for our new home. We paid him extra to wire a 230 volt connection for our outside hot tub. He requested the wiring schematic for the hot tub, which I sent to him. The manufacturer of the hot tub specifically stated that it required a minimum of a 4 #8 wire AWG line be run from the circuit panel and the GFI disconnect. Today I noted that Mr Johnson ran a three wire connection with a #10 copper wire ground. The manufacturer told me that the hot tub must have 4 #8 wires in order to prevent damage to the hot tub. Mr Johnson stated that the way he had completed the job was correct and that there was no difference in using a #10 and a #8 wire. I reminded him that the schematic chart that I sent to him was very clear as to the type of wiring required. He restated that he is nothing wrong and hung up on me. I just want the wiring job we paid for done the way it was supposed to be.
