Worst customer service. Unscrupulous dealer networks. Do yourself a favor and do not sign anything. You will be ripped off and left disappointed

I had to move during a divorce and had no money whatsoever, I tried to cancel my account but they said to do that I would have to buy out the contract for over $1,500, I did not sign a contract with this company, I signed up with a local business for my security system that was bought out by secritas. This company does not care about their customers, if I died they would still keep sending me a bill. They are now telling me that my current balance is double my monthly payment even though I have managed to pay it every month at the expense of being able to eat everyday. Please I beg of you, do not sign up with this company, they need to be shut down, they are nothing but a rip off. I would give them minus 1,000 star's if I could.

I own a jewelry store- we supposedly had the "highest level" of commercial service from Securitas. We were unhappy with their random, imaginary repair bills and incompetent techs, so in April of 2024, we put our Securitas system into test mode for one week. During that week, we disconnected all their equipment and switched to a different company. At the end of the week, when my system should have come out of test mode, no one at Securitas seemed to notice that the system was non operational! I somehow managed to get a hold of someone who sent me the cancellation paperwork/ procedure, which I submitted on 5/8/24. I never got confirmation of receipt as requested. None of the provided phone numbers worked. I eventually communicated via email with no fewer than 4 people, re sending the cancellation form each time on 5/8, 5/17, 10/22, and 10/28. In October, we received a new MONITORING bill! What, exactly were they monitoring WITH? More emails, more assurances that the issue was being forwarded to their "internal team". Then- last week, we got a letter threatening possible disruption of service (insert laughing emoji here) due to non payment, and threatening to refer to a third party collection agent. But wait- there's more! Yesterday, someone from ********************* called - they were contracted by Securitas to perform our "annual equipment evaluation" This is INSANE! They don't know now if they're monitoring us or not, which leaves me wondering, when we WERE counting on them for security, were they monitoring it then?

Securitas apparently bought out our previous security monitoring system and it seriously hasn't really worked since. They charged us $2000 to fix something on our end but the system still does not work properly. I have now tried to cancel the service and they are trying to charge me $475.20 for early termination. I have never signed a contract of service with this company. I would like to be able to cancel but I'm not sure what my steps should be. I was only able to get this far with them through email as the phone number they list doesn't actually reach a human being. Only giving them one star because I can't choose no stars.

We have been trying to cancel for months now, nobody calls us back. No email responses. I sit on hold so long and their system keeps hanging up on me. The couple of times I do talk to someone I feel like I get the run around. Theyre still trying to take money from us. We have had to put a stop payment on our account. This company has the worse customer service I have ever dealt with. They dont care at all.

I want to can't contract and each customer service agent says they have sent the cancellation but the loyalty department isn't available. I have called everyday during the week but somehow I can't cancel my contract. ***.

What a scam. I was not warned in advance that a service trip charge would be $60 plus a labor charge of $145, all for a 5 minute trip to change a sensor from one zone to another. It took more than a week for the company to respond to several emails and phone calls, all to tell me that I should have asked for the price in advance. How about it's your company's responsibility to be transparent? Even now, I've spent more than 20 minutes on hold just trying to cancel my contact. Do not use Securitas.

Stay away from this company. Only giving one star because no stars is not permitted. Two years ago, one of their reps came to my 88 yr old mother's door and apparently electronically signed her up to a 5 yr contract while telling her that she it was just a trial and she was not obligated for any period of time. They also have terrible (almost non-existent) customer support/service - at least that is our experience as a residential security customer. Any time you call with an issue, expect to wait for ~40 min to talk to someone. Also, it is not uncommon to wait 40 min and then have the line go dead. Last year, when my mother was having issues with the locks (i.e. they weren't working) it took from May 25 to October 16 (and many emails and phone calls) to get a technician out to fix the problem. This year, I have been calling and emailing since 8 weeks ago to get technical assistance. Had ******** arranged with customer support that a technician was to call us on June 21 - but the technician never called. I sent an email on June 24 noting that the call had been arranged but did not happen and asking for another time to talk to a technician. Up to today (July 8), I still haven't heard anything. If this company does not want to service the people it has under contract, it should release them from the contract without penalty and let them find another service provider.I have copies of all emails and a record of phone calls to substantiate this review.

This is in regards to ***** Securities and Securitas Technology in regards to a contract they made with my 90 yr old father . My father passed away and *********** want us to pay the remainder of the contract, which was a 5 year contract. Our biggest concern was that they are selling 5 year contracts to elderly people with what we feel is abusive, and taking advantage of elderly people. We wonder what other innocent people they are fraudulently selling these contract to. I am writing in regards to our fathers contract with ***** securities which has been cancelled. My family believes this contract was obtained with no regard to the best interests for our father and under false pretences. Our father had Macular Degeneration which made it impossible to read any form of small print. . Being the age of 90 at the time of the contract we do not believe he would have signed a 5 year plan knowing that if he passed away his estate would be obligated to pay the remaining amount. The contract states he was to have a door alarm. There was no door alarm on his apartment door. He lived in a controllled entry apartment, so would not have required this option. We believe that he likely did not know the extent of the obligation under the contract. This sounds like elder abuse, taking advantage of an elderly gentleman who may not have understood the terms of the contract or have the physical ability to read the fine print in the contract. We are appalled by the actions of this company and the actions of the person who talked him into this contract. We have had continuous problems contacting the company and getting responses from them about this problem.
