We had them come out to give an estimate an when he gave the estimate he told us that they will come an remove the stumps, roots an take the shavings away. Well they never took the shavings away an then I called to talk to him he remembered that we talked about him taking g the shavings but we didn't want the top soil then 5 mins into the conversation he changed the story that it wasn't written on the paper an I said well you should still stand to your agreement an it's not my fault you didn't write on the paper. The guys name was *****.

Our company pricing structure on stumps has always been a line item bidding structure. This consists of grinding the stump, hauling the shavings and putting in topsoil, each listed separately. In this case I offered to this customer these items, they chose only to grind the stump which was the only item listed on the quote/contract. They signed this quote/contract only listing stump grinding, which is the work we performed.
