One star because I cannot give none. Very disappointed, Macys is doing false advertising when you apply for their Credit Card. They advertise 20% off on your first purchase but NO, is not real, they cap the discount to $100 only. There no information of this cap discount. I will make sure to scale this situation to the ***.

I am expressing my deep dissatisfaction with the handling of my recent return attempt and the subsequent customer service interactions. On November 19, 2024, I purchased a coat as a Christmas gift , which was delivered on November 26, 2024. In January, a desire to return the coat for a different item was asked. I contacted Macy’s customer service on 1/30/25 and was informed that the return was within the acceptable window. I was provided with a return code and instructed to bring the item to a Macy’s location. Upon visiting the Kingston, Ma store on 2/2/25, I was informed that the store was closing and could not process the return. Following this attempt, I contacted CS again about returning the item at a later date 2/19/25 when I would be near another Macys. I was told this would not be an issue . However, upon visiting the Hanover, Ma store on 2/19, I was informed that the return code had expired, rendering me unable to process the return. The staff at the Hanover store were courteous and attempted to assist by contacting CS on my behalf. After waiting for an hour to speak with a manager via the store’s phone, no one responded. I then used my personal phone to contact customer service, where I encountered extremely rude CS reps. One individual laughed at my situation, and I could hear others in the background also laughing. Following the rude CS i received I contacted Macy’s headquarters in NY and was provided with an email address to send my complaint. Despite being informed that responses typically take seven days, after two emails I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or reply to my emails. I am asking for the following:     1.    Despite the elapsed time, I ask that Macy’s honor the return of the unworn coat, given the miscommunications and assurances previously provided.     2.   I urge Macy’s to review the behavior of the customer service representatives involved in my case     I hope for a swift and favorable resolution to this matter.

Macy's do not practice fair and credit reports ! I have been a long time Macy's Customer, pay on time , or alot of times ahead of time, with extra added to payments. Lately, since Covid I have significantly noticed a change in my account. 2024 I paid my account down under my balance, in which by now should be close to paying off. Noticing everytime I get under my balance, it jumps back to over balance and payments have gone up to over a $100. The same thing is occurring now in 2025. I have contacted them by mail no response, they have called, when I answer they hang up. I have asked them to respond to my emails...to no avail again no response! This unfair practice needs to be addressed and stopped !! Anyone else having this problem ?

Macy's used a 3rd party delivery service for a furniture delivery. They were rude, unprofessional, and couldn't speak English. They almost broke our service elevator and caused a hazardous situation for our residents. I have never had a worse experience. Macy's would not give information or the name of the delivery company and protected them over their customers.

I purchase a dresser/baby changing table- followed the directions to put it together (son-in-law double checked) . When we used it to change my grandbaby, it was so unsteady and wobbly that we could NOT safely use it (I changed the baby on the floor). I called Macy's and to return/get my money back and they say I have to go to the manufacture. The phone number for the company is not excitant per ********  After 5 transfers at Macy's, I did finally get the '3rd Party Supervisor', and she says she will contact the company to request a refund. I told her that I did not want any of my personal information shared with this company as I think they are NOT Reparable. Lets hope this works.

I purchased an office chair that was supposed to be sturdy but it is very light and has poor material. The chair is the size of a small child. Unable to use it. Why are these businesses allowed to sell bad products.

I ordered 2 orders for valentine's day first order a week before Vday the second order 5 days before Vday. First order had a total of 5 items I received 1 item before VDay. Second order 4 items I received 1 item before VDay. I tried several times contacting macys via their chat option. Out of all the people I chatted with I think one person understood what was happening. Why would anyone who purchased VDay gifts want them after VDay? When you can find all Vday items on sale more than 50% off. Because macys did not come thru this year, I had to go out and purchase those 7 items in person. Side note I received an email saying I can no longer purchase from macys. Trust that won't be an issue. Macy used to be my go to spot for gift giving but this experience and last year experience has showed me macys isn't what it used to be.
