I have a home warranty. I had an AC problem arise. The company sent out was Fast Response in the Fort Worth tx area. First guy that came put in a little under a lb of Refrigerant. After leaving, the system never cooled completely. I called them back. Same guy, said he put another 2 lbs in it. Yet when i asked..did it have a leak, he said no. (Clearly it had a leak. ) Since the guy lied, I asked for a senior tech to come out. Sent out another guy..not a senior tech..he said he found a leak, replaced a valve and even showed me a picture of a valve...A picture? Why not the actual part? Immediately after he left i went outside and the compressor was making a NEW loud noise. I called him right away after he left on this friday eve..cause it was now worse..not cooling hardly at all and it WAS cooling pretty good before he arrived so I didnt want to spend all weekend like that. He said dispatch would have to arrange another visit and hung up. I called another company on my own, he came out found alot of issues but didnt carry R22 to help. I called warranty and the next week another company came out. He said compressor was not working correctly. (i truly believe the other guy from Fast Response sabotaged it.) I then called a company on my own, they came out. Yep need new compressor. Discussed a new unit. Then i contacted another company that was recommended to me..and they came out and gave me a quote on a new system. I asked them to check ALL of the valves on the outside unit. NO VALVES were replaced. ALL OLD parts. I took pictures and seen for myself. EVERYTHING was old. Fast Response guys..both were scamming me and the warranty company. All they did was scam me and the warranty company. The warranty company has been notified and they can handle that complaint on their end. I will continue with this complaint until the world is aware of what they did. THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. Their names will be everywhere. FRAUD! They owe me $85 for the service call fee.

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns. Here are the detailed notes from your 1st visit, no parts were replaced.

Notes added by tech Juan [7] on 4/19/2022 4:15:58 PM Adjusted the pressures. Homeowner keep set thermostat at 67  at all times. And door go in and out of how's end garage is always open for her dogs to walk in and out of the house. And garage is halfway open. With that and her explaining to me that when it freezes it's when there's more humidity outside. Humidity gets inside the house and freezes up the coil due to the doors being open and system being set to 67 degrees. Left the system working properly at this time Notes added by tech Juan [7] on 4/19/2022 4:17:10 PM I told her that it's not recommended to keep the house at 67 degrees. She didn't care she said she was still going to leave it like that.

Residential units are only rated to cool up to 20 degrees colder than the outside temperature. If you do not listen to the advice of the technician and continue to have issues that is no fault of ours. He has given you clear instruction on how to use your unit properly during humid times and you have refused to listen to this advice. We returned again in May and added a little less than 2 lb of freon to the unit. Again we returned with our senior tech in June who replaced a valve core. You wouldn't see a new valve as the core is the internal part of said valve. I apologize that you are not happy with services but we are definitely not committing any type of fraud. You never paid any money to us so we would not be able to provide any refunds and you would have to take that up with your warranty provider which is who you paid the service fee to.

We wish you the best on future endeavors and appreciate the opportunity to work with you and settling your home comfort needs.

Full of lies. Again.. Jose Did NOT replace a part as he said he did and even showed a photo to me of a valve he supposedly replaced. New AC guys took unit apart.. NO NEW PART WAS FOUND ANYWHERE on the unit. Juan also sabotaged my compressor. It was working with no noises and when he left..immediately thereafter it was making a horrible noise. It was deemed by 3 other techs from different companies that something was done to it. As for Juan,  he flat out lied about everything. He didn't do anything to my unit. As for me, I CANNOT medically have my AC turned WAY UP to 78 degrees during 100+ temps in the state of Texas. I would DIE! AS for garage door open..that is on occasion.. and definitely not in the summer. This company is scamming people big time. It costs me $85 dollars to my warranty company to have these co called technicians come out to my house. Two months of dealing with the incompetence. I am not even sure these guys were even certified as they didn't act like normal techs. No business cards or anything was shown or left with me. Seemed less educated. THEY LIED...flat out. Now they are making excuses as to why they lied. Doesn't work. Proof is in the pics I posted...NO NEW PART. Two months and still was not fixed from them. I have never met anyone that was scamming people like these people and i have had many techs at my home over the years. I am not a young person and have plenty of common sense. THEIR ACTIONS were deemed incompetent...and this company is absolutely horrible on all counts. People need to be aware of scammers..and there are plenty out there. SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. They need to be known for who they really are. I can also provide a written letter stating no new parts were replaced by a licensed AC and electrical company. Want proof? ...I have it.

We are licensed bonded and insured in multiple states. We appreciate your feedback but again we didn't charge you anything therefore we cannot reimburse you for anything. Our tech did his job, if you were not satisfied you could have requested another tech through us or another company through your home warranty company. You will need to seek reimbursement for the service fee from whom  you paid the service fee to which was not us. Thank you.

I will say the customer service that has been had with *** and Fast response has been terrible. I placed a service call with *** on 5/10 and I am still without service at this time. I was told a part was ordered for my ac unit already and them when I am told to pay 1098.00 to have me added to schedule I am now told part has as not been ordered yet and it will be another week. Can you say beyond upset as this is getting ridiculous. I informed both parties I will be reporting this to BBB as well as my KY Attorney General. I just received a call from Fast response and been told they are now coming on 6/10. That would make it an entire month since service request has been placed.

Thank you for reaching out. We do communicate thoroughly with our customers that until payment is rendered we do not order parts. This information was shared with you via text message as well as email and verbally with our customer care staff. We diagnosed your unit on 5/13/22. We sent diagnostics to your home warranty provider on 5/16/22 because we are not open on the weekends for administrative duties only scheduling. We do have 1-2 business days to provide this information to your home warranty provider as stated in our contract. We sent out an email and text message on 5/16/22 letting you know repairs were approved but that parts would not be ordered until the non-covered costs per paid for. You waited until 5/31/22 to make payment. We advised at that time that standard part shipping is 5-7 business day (which is also in the email). Thursday 6/9/22 would be your 7th business day since payment was made which is why you are scheduled for 6/10/22 based on expected part arrival. If the part comes in sooner we would call you to move you up for a sooner service. If you are no longer wanting to wait for the 10th for your service to be completed we would be happy to provide refund for the non-covered costs in the amount of $1080.00. Please let us know how you wish to proceed. Thank you.

Company cancelled home warranty work order to fix ac unit (which they shouldn’t have done) because now I am locked into a work order that is cancelled and nothing is being done for a month and I can’t transfer to a provider that will take care of it. They cancelled it because they didn’t provide enough details to my home warranty company so the company denied the charges. Now we are just sitting here for over a month with no sides doing anything as they need to uncancel their work order but won’t and the person who is suffering is me the customer who can’t breathe at night

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we do not determine what is or is not covered under your home warranty policy. We turn in diagnostic reports and they will decide if it is a covered repair based on your specific contract. We have not canceled any work original orders for you, only the recall because we cannot service a recall if the original work order was denied. You are always welcome to seek a second opinion through your home warranty provider and you can reach them directly at ###-###-####. We cannot move forward with repairs if they are not covered unless you would like a retail bid to complete the work. Feel free to call our office at ###-###-#### if you have any further questions or concerns.

This company was sent to my home by ******** **** ******. They have been here 4 times since the first week of April to repair my hvac unit. They have made temporary “fixes” every time and identified a new problem that wasn’t identified before. They constantly reschedule my appointments so I had my own hvac tech look at the unit. The unit is end of life and needs to be replaced. They have made cheaper “fixes” and I want to be reimbursed for the unit I’m about to pay for.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/17/2022

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns but unfortunately replacement is not our choice to make. With a home warranty policy you must repair as long as parts are available for the unit. The first visit in April we were out for heating concerns and found no mechanical failure with the system. We then returned for cooling concerns in May and determined we need to do a leak repair as well as a defrost board. The failures were not related. We do not write your home warranty policy but if the system is repairable that is how they will proceed. We're sorry if you feel as though there were too many visit to the home but that is to be expected with an aging system, mechanical items can fail at any time. On 5/14 we confirmed an appointment with you for 5/18 to make repairs to the system. On 5/16 you called in thinking you were on schedule but the representative did not reschedule you as the appointment was set for 5/18 not 5/16. If you have any further questions regarding repair versus replacement options you can contact our customer care team at ###-###-#### or you can contact your warranty provider for a second opinion to see if they believe replacement is required.

I have home warranty for my home. They sent out this company, the first guy comes to check out problem, he damages the attic stairs before he even goes up them, then proceeds to go up them and breaks bottom half n then tries to zip tie them back together. During this time, you could tell I probably was the last call so he is hurrying because he even dropped his drill down from attic and it hit the door n floor, this was on 4/6/22. He didnt do nothing but said he had to get approval for part, he was very sloppy n fast and in and out the house. Since that day noone has been in attic bc the bottom half of stairs were broken. Second guy comes out when they have parts to repair unit, he goes in attic fixes it n then tells me he is going to take bottom half of my attic stairs to repair n bring them back. After he left, the unit still was not working so I called him and he comes back and says there was a wire that was burnt n he replaced that n it should be working. Its now 5/10/22 and I had to reach out to them for my stairs, the in mix off all this my daughter says today something happen to her ceiling well it looks like someone stepped thru the ceiling in the attic one of the times one of those guy were up thereand we are just noticing it in her room because we don’t typically look up and its right at the entrance of her room door. They need to pay for the repairs bc I just purchased home few months ago and everything was remodel in the house including all walls and ceilings were painted and this damage was not there until there men went into my attic.

Good morning thank you for reaching out but you are on schedule today to have the ladder properly repaired. We have been working with you directly to get everything resolved. We were not aware of any ceiling damage and as I just stated in the email I sent a few moments ago we will be looking at that today to see if it was something we caused and what needs to be done to correct the concern. We would appreciate you to keep working with us directly to resolve the matter at hand.
