      7-14-2024 $7078 Tree removal, brush clearing, Tree pruning Stump grinding Cable application to stabilize tree Did not complete the work. Brush only cleared on 1 side, no cable applied to tree Over charged on the tax - charged 8.9% (Butler County 6.5%) Tried to add $700 by writing a sum and then claiming it was just bad handwriting. Crossed out and wrote another amount. (see contract) - attached I received an advertisement in the mail - attached I know I did a stupid thing paying them. In my defense - I am grieving the loss of my mother and not making clear decisions. I don't know if I want them to come back and work in my yard again. They used a piece of my equipment without permission, and left it in the field in the rain. I didn't even realize it was mine until the next day. I went out to get what I thought was theirs out of the weather and found it was mine. This was a terrible scam and I know I was so very careless. I just wanted to trust them because the work was so hard and the weather was very hot.

      We went there today and did more trimming on hillside and on the trees. The cable was in the Bradford pear tree the whole time she didnt see it but it was there. We took pics. She’s mad my guys used her equipment I apologized about that very unprofessional. But all the trimming and cutting on hillside is complete. Yea some is growing back now but we cut what’ was agreed to cut. Job is complete 100%. Even touched up trees by house.

      I was solicited by Keaton Tree Service on August 8th 2022 to have tree services. They were doing a job in a neighboring yard and approached me. The job included banding a tree near the neighbors home and providing stress relief via limb removal on a second tree. I am retired with a wife and 2 young adopted boys to care for and thus tree service was not at the top of my list. He stated they were a family business both bonded and reliable and he had children of his own. He stated this work needed to be done because not to do it could be dangerous and cause future problems. Thus having been convinced this work NEEDED to be done I wrote a check for $2100 dollars. They started the job toward the end of the business day on August 8th but we had prior commitments at school with the children and could not stay so we paid in advance. Tree one was banded. Tree two looked untouched specifically limbs which had been agreed to be removed that were still attached to the tree. We called on August 9th and 10th with the same response that they were still in the neighborhood and would be back that day or the next to finish the job. They never came back. The third phone call did not even receive the courtesy of a reply. Our check was cashed and the job was left incomplete.

      I hired Keatons Tree Care to remove a tree from my backyard, haul away the wood, and grind the stump. The contract stated they would do all of that for $3210. They came out 7/2/2022 and took the tree down, but left the wood in my yard and in my next door neighbor's yard, because they stated they ran out of time. They also did not grind the stump. They said they would be back the next day to finish the job and took my check. The check cleared my bank account, but they haven't come back to complete the work and I called multiple times with no answer or call back. The wood is so heavy we cannot move it and my neighbor is extremely upset there is a part of a tree lying in his yard.

      After a week of heavy rain, on 6/13/2022, a crew from Keaton’s Tree Care was trimming and cutting down trees in our neighbors yard. **** ***** had contracted them to complete this work. After finishing the job they took their heavy machinery came upon our property without permission and left huge ruts in our field, instead of backing down the neighbors driveway. Our neighbor and **** has tried several times using 3 different numbers they provided and we can not get any response to when they will come and repair the damage done by the crew that had no permission to use our land. We would like them to repair the ruts left by the heavy equipment.
