***** ******* was recommended to me via Social Media. First contacted me on June 15, 2022. Agreed to meet up on June 26th at my house for an estimate. June 27th the wife and I decided to have our patio done in 2022. On July 24th, ***** asked for $1,000 down. Provided ***** a personal check on July 27th, 2022 in the amount of $1,000.00. After payment did not hear from him. I asked him on September 7th when to expect the job to start. Gave an excuse of waiting on cement and that I may have to wait. No contact, or updates, on October 24th for a refund of my deposit. Responded with excuses of being out of state taking care family, and that he could complete the job in March. I advised on October 24th I just wanted my money refunded. Followed up on Nov 22nd for an update on my refund. No Response. I again followed up on January 3rd, and advised I would go to BBB and Small claims court if needed. Said he would pay me. I provided my address to send payment. He provided excuses and issues with property taxes. I again followed up on February 22nd asking for my deposit back. ***** responded that he would send it to me on the first (March). ***** actually reached out to me on March 6th, that he was headed to the bank. I have followed up on March 10th, 14th, and 15th asking for an update because I have yet to receive the payment. Once I made a social media post on 3/15, he contacted me on 3/16 about meeting up to give me 50% of my deposit back via Cashiers Check. He stated that is all he has at this time. After 8 months, I only have half of my money back. My BOLO post has brought 3 other people forward that have also been scammed. All with similar scams for concrete work not being done or vehicle paint job not being done.
