Frank 1st quoted me 700. Then changed it to 950 cash. 250 for cutting Tree Down, 700 for stump grinding & THEN was to grade and level where the tree was & in front of the home & sidewalk. No contract, this was a local guy in our community. I got him off the local community page he answered my request. He came in late April to cut the tree down. I paid him 250 cash, no receipt. He did keep in touch, it rained a lot. May 8th, he showed up with the stump grinder. He thought he could accomplish the grading and leveling part of the job by using the stump grinder. He rototilled the mound of dirt that I wanted graded & excess dirt removed & transferred to the back yard where the pool used to be. He told me to water the portion he rototilled and the mound would go down. I paid him the 700 cash. It poured that week, the mound did not go down. On May 28th I made a group chat with Frank & my partner. Frank argued with me on this chat, He claimed I ruined the seeded grass he wasted money on by not watering it. During this time, I found a huge root he left behind sticking out of the ground where it was originally? As to accusations of not watering the grass seed. I did not. I don't want to waste water on a job I know was not finished. He finally came over to revisit what I wanted. Wants never changed? On July 9th he finally came with a mini Bobcat to level the yard. I showed him the root, he pulled out a massive rootball he left behind the 1st time. He took 2 buckets to the pool area, never spreading the dirt he promised me he would. He loaded & left without talking with me, I was in tears when I went out to look, it was worse than when he just rototilled it. As Frank was driving away he gave me a Thumbs-up. I was in such disbelief, I returned a thumbs up, I wanted him gone. I contacted him a few days later and he wants another meet up? If you didn't do it right 2X why would I have your return. I went & got a grader & did the job myslef. I'm 58, a Veteran and on Disablility,
