I would give Payroll4Free zero stars if I could. I have been a client for several years, and when Mike was running things, it was pretty decent. However, ever since Chaim took over, things have gone downhill FAST. It is impossible to reach anyone for customer service issues, and they constantly miss filing deadlines for payroll forms and payments. Then, they flat out refuse to reimburse you for any penalties that are assessed by the IRS or the state. Chaim has no idea how to run a business and it almost appears as if he is intentionally running Payroll4Free into the ground. At this point, they deserve to have a class action lawsuit filed against them for FRAUD! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Absolutely horrible customer service. I gave them my paper work 2 months ago. After several times being told "just 2 weeks more" I decided to go with another company. I think I dogged a HUGE bullet - payroll is too important to leave with unprofessional companies. All I lost was a bunch of time and 2 months of frustration

I started the year working with Payroll4free and things were working as advertised and expected. After a few changes moving to their Direct Deposit services, I ended up making surety deposits totaling $5000. The service worked fine but I decided to move to another platform that more fully met my needs of a restaurant business. Since May, I have been awaiting the full return of my deposited surety funds from the Direct Deposit requirement. It is now Sept and as of this moment I have only received $2000 of the funds. Poor business administration behind the product is the indication and I still hope to resolve as of this posting.

I have used them for about 4 - 5 years now. I switched from Quickbooks Payroll as I got frustrated with having to upgrade software constantly and pay the annual fee that kept going up. I have to say that I have been very happy with their service. The interface is not very intuitive and certainly could use updating/improvements that would make it more user friendly. But I have had no problems calling in to get help when I have run into issues of not understanding how to correct a payroll problem. Overall I consider Payroll4free an excellent value for my business payroll requirements.
