    On March 8th, 2025, ConsumerLab.com renewed my membership without my clear authorization. I attempted to cancel the membership through their website, but there is no visible or accessible option to do so in the account settings. Their cancellation process is deliberately difficult, and the website does not comply with common consumer standards that require clear and accessible cancellation methods.This practice seems deceptive and intended to prevent customers from easily opting out of the service. I reached out to the company via email asking for an immediate cancellation and a refund but have yet to receive a resolution.I am requesting: Immediate cancellation of my membership. A full refund for the unauthorized renewal on March 7th.Due to the lack of a proper response and the difficulty canceling the service, I am filing this complaint with the BBB to report what I believe is an unfair and misleading business practice.

    I opened this consumerlab.com account with the expectation that I would be able to delete and close my account on my own free will. In fact, a main ***** of consumer rights is possessing control over your data. However, I do not possess this control. So I guess that even though you tout the name consumerlab.com and pretend as if you are looking out for consumers, consumerlab.com violates basic consumer rights when it is convenient for them. Please delete and close my account and permanently delete all associated data and personal information. Please do not make this unnecessarily difficult, I only ask for my basic rights as a consumer to be recognized.

    We never mentiond that we are a medical health care provider nor that we accept health insurance. As state we are independent company that test various vitamins and supplements. As instructed we have deleted your account as well as unsubscribed your email address from our newsletter list.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    Thank you for confirming that you are neither a medical provider or health insurer. However, only about half of my request has been addressed. Please confirm that in addition to the account closure/deletion that my data has also been deleted to ensure that I remain unsubscribed to your trite spam emails. In addition, I am seeking an explanation to why I was forced to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to fulfill such a simple request that I made repeatedly to the member services ***** at ConsumerLab.com for months. Why is the member services ***** so unresponsive? Why does ConsumerLab.com disregard the wishes of their customers and continue to send unwanted spam or keep unwanted accounts open? In my experience, a confident enterprise does not have to keep their consumers trapped.
