    Don't have an account with them and they charged me ten dollars to my ****** account. Scum.

    I tried to use Digital Ocean's Cloud for hosting my website without success, after a month of trial and error I finally gave up and used another service but Digital Ocean kept billing me even though I cancelled my droplets and any type of service I had running in ******* I got another bill in February. This time I found a link to destroy my account in early February when I requested a refund for February I did not think it was unreasonable since I did not request a refund for ******* and February. I am hopeful that I will not get charged in the future but wanted to warn others not to use Digital Ocean for hosting. I did not find a button or a link to cancel my account at any time on their website, the only thing I was able to do was cancel a droplet.Their Digital Ocean support reply was: ~ As we are also not able to verify usage or non-usage (we do not have access to the server's login records), which is why we provide customers with the ability to cancel their service at any time by destroying Droplets (or any other billable service) on their account. We also define usage as having a server, as we are providing a service during that time. It's a bit like ******** even if you don't watch something that month no one assumes that you don't want it unless you take action to cancel it.Please note that we do not offer any refunds or credits because even if you haven't used the Droplet or service, technically the droplet is still with you and the hypervisor continues to reserve your share of CPU, RAM, and disk (as well as the ** for your VPS). That means the space is not available for someone else to use. This same factor applies even if you've powered off a service. ~One star is too many.

    They took all my card information only to block services, and said they decided not to offer services to me personally, when i needed their system for machine learning. Why offer an online service if it is not available to the public. A useless scam company leaving a small charge in my bank to verify then refusing service which is a rarity in online purchases. If it is private services then don't offer to the public hows that for an idea?

    My network has been being scanned by Digital Ocean IPs (a violation of their Acceptable Usage Policy). This isn't unusual, as the Internet is full of "Bad Actors". The problem is that, not only do they not act on notifications of AUP violations, they don't even accept complaints about AUP violations.

DigitalOcean LLC is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.
