    My partner and I went to *** for pride this past weekend, 7/25-7/26, and had purchased tickets for a Pride Cruise event through a company called ********. This is their website: ************ We purchased our tickets through an eventbrite page on 7/23 for a cruise that was supposed to take place from 10PM-2AM on 7/25. We arrived at 9:30 to total chaos and none of the security or event organizers knowing what was going on. All of a sudden, people from the *************** started getting in line, and we overheard them talking about boarding a latin cruise. We asked the event coordinator if we were in the right line for the Pride cruise, to which she stated, "yes." She then went on to say, "There are going to be 2 different boats, and we will announce when each boat arrives. While in line, people from the other cruise were making statements along the lines of, "Don't tell me we are going to be stuck on a boat with a bunch of faggots." People were even making threats. I understand the BBB does not deal with hate crime reports and/or customer service issues, and I am only adding this in support of filing a fraud business with false advertisement. We were told repetitively that there were two cruises, but it turned out that they combined a Latin and Pride Cruise on one boat which was stated on our ticket purchasing. They additionally oversold tickets to the point where the boat was over capacity. ******** doesn't have a customer service line, and the only way I could report this was through their partnering company, POSH events. We were told we would receive a refund, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. Not only did this company endanger their customers, but they used fraud to advertise for a PRIDE event that was nothing of the sorts. This is unacceptable business practice, and I highly recommend you look into this sham of a company to protect future attendees/customers. This is rainbow-washing, and I hope some good comes of this.     I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

     

    The company reached out to me after, although it was extremely difficult to contact them and have refunded my tickets. That was all I wanted, and hope they take my complaint into consideration next time they host an event.
