      I have had innumerous attempts to work on my tax return through EZ tax return with no success. I only get "session timed out" messages immediately after signing on regardless of what device I use. I even enlisted the help of my IT department, who attempted for an hour to assist, even going so far as to create their own account and attempt on multiple devices to log in with the same result. EZ Tax Return doesn't accept phone calls and when I tried to file a complaint on their "contact us" page I get a "session timed out" messsage as well. I am requesting copies of all of my state and federal returns so that I can take my business elsewhere but have no way of contacting the company directly.

The most likely cause for the error is having 2 sessions of our program open at the same time. As a standard measure for self-preparation tax programs, only one session can be open at a time to ensure 100% accuracy of your tax return information. We recommend only opening the ezTaxReturn site on 1 tab and 1 browser at any time.

      I filed a federal tax return through EzTaxReturn on 4/15, resulting in me owing over $1,500 in federal taxes. I was confused but decided to pay the balance immediately. I then checked my income withholding to ensure that it would not happen again, only to find that I was withholding too much. I then entered the same information on another *** Partner website, which resulted in a tax refund of nearly $2000. I have contacted EzTaxReturn because I want them to amend and resubmit my return; there is no option for filing an amended return on their website. This error has resulted in a loss of over $3,500. I have filed multiple contact requests and left voicemails - no one from the company has contacted me.

      Our records show that your federal balance due was primarily due to excess premium tax credit repayments from Form 8962. The repayment amount was calculated from your 1095-A Form entries for **********************  
       
      These repayments represent any extra amount that you received to help pay for your ********************* in 2024. The amount that you are allowed is based on your 2024 income. Since your income was higher than initially reported to the Marketplace, Form 8962 reflected that no advanced payments were due and any that were dispersed would reflect as a tax on your 1040.

      On March 6, 2025, I paid $22.41 to Easy Tax Returns to file my federal taxes. Within 24 hours of submitting my return, I logged into the website and was informed that the *** had rejected my submission with out reasoning. I was instructed to file my return by mail. However, upon contacting the *** directly, (being this was the second year in row I was asked to file by mail) I was told they had no information regarding my 2024 return, as they had not received it. I have not contacted this company directly, while looking for their direct contact information I stumbled upon their BBB Page and read that my situation was not an isolated one. Today 3/12/2025 I then proceeded to refile my taxes using a different tax software, which was accepted by the *** within minutes. Given that Easy Tax Returns failed to file my return as promised, I am requesting a full refund of the $22.41, as they did not provide the service for which I paid.I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter.

      A. Federal filing rejection:  
      Regarding your rejected federal return, this isnt an issue we can generate by us.  Rejections are issued directly by the **** They decide whether to accept or reject your filing. We only facilitate the efile submissions.  
       
      Our records indicate that the *** rejected your return on 3-7-25 due to a concern with your IP address and the *** then instructed you that they required you to mail in your return. Please be aware that the *** does not provide any further details regarding this reject other than to instruct the filer to mail in their return.  
       
      B. *** customer service does not retain any record of a rejected return. Therefore, a customer service representative at the ********;will only have a record of a filed return if it is accepted. Since your return was rejected, no information is available with them.  
       
       C. Request for Refund:   
      Regarding your request for refund, we typically do not refund when the fault is not at our end.  Because we are very proactive in addressing the customer concerns when the fault does lie with us. 
       
      However, we have compassion for the trouble you have gone through in your filing experience, and since you were able to file using another program, we have issued a refund to your ****** account for $22.41.

      I filed a Federal and State return via ** but was not aware they charge for the state return. I took it as my error providing my federal return was accepted. It was not saying my AGI was incorrect from 2023 despite numerous attempts to enter it on the ** form AGI line. It kept saying that it was rejected by the ***. I tried calling the 516 number they listed on my credit card account, but it was disconnected. I wanted to find out what was the problem. There was no one to talk to. I protested it with my credit card. I am not going to pay for a state return if my federal is being rejected. I can do them myself- esp when there is no one to speak to.

      A. Incorrect Phone Number Listed on Credit Card Statement: 
      We are sorry to hear that your credit card company provided an incorrect phone number on your credit card statement. Please note that we make our phone number ************ available on our website and we can be reached at our email ******************************** or via help links on our site.  
      We operate 9 am - midnight eastern time 7 days a week from Jan - *** closing in April every year.  
       
      B. Federal filing rejection: 
      Regarding your rejected federal return, this isnt an issue generated by us either.  
      Our records indicate that you tried 2 times to file your federal return this year and each time you were rejected by the ***. As a standard security measure, the *** requires every filer to enter their prior year AGI each year and the *** then checks that number against their records from previous years. Your return was rejected by the *** because your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) figure from your 2023 return did not match the *** records.  
      Unfortunately, the *** records on tax filer AGI are not always updated on time in their database. The delay in update of records followed by mismatch when filers enter their AGIs results in a rejection. For more information from the *** regarding this reject, please visit *************************************************************************;
      Please note that the prior-year AGI can be obtained from line 11 of a 2023 federal return, and since you did not file with us in 2024, we would not be able to provide your AGI to you. As the *** suggests, if you have been rejected for the amount that shows on line 11 of your 2023 return, it is recommended to try $0.  
       
      C. Request for Refund:  
      Regarding your request for refund, we do not refund when the fault is not at our end. Additionally, please note that the federal return was already FREE of charge to you. And since your CA state return was e-filed and accepted, a refund of the state fee would not be available.  
       
      However, we have compassion for the trouble you are going through in your filing experience. We, therefore, have attached a 50% off state filing coupon for 2026.

      I filed my taxes with this company the last few years with no issues. I filed again this year and have been told that my taxes were rejected (according to my account on their website). I contacted them via email and phone with no response or a way to speak to anyone including via social media. I reached out to the *** and was told they have no record of my return ever being submitted to be returned. I then began reading multiple complaints of the same issue on their social media and on BBB. They only seem to respond to BBB compaints. I just want my taxes filed.Thank you!

      I used their service to fill out my taxes online, only after I paid was I allowed to "preview" the form for 'errors', and I found several -- the text is printing on the wrong line of the tax return on many lines. Its clearly a flaw in their form, (was hard to spot, luckily I noticed it before submitting to the IRS).I emailed them multiple times, they had no phone support showing 'available' on their website, I had to ****** to find phone numbers for them, which all lead you to voicemail and nobody returns your calls. I've left messages and called day after day -- zero response. I dont think anyone is even working at this company, they seem to just be collecting your payment, and providing faulty tax documents.I now have to pay for a different tax company to do my taxes since their forms that I already paid for, are useless. I want a response, or better yet a refund!

      I filed my taxes through this company online. My federal went through fine but my ********** says rejected so I contacted them after almost a week to see why because it just says rejected with no explanation or how to correct it. They sent the email back saying they would refund me since I wasnt willing to wait, in the meantime I contacted the state of **** and they are saying its eztaxreturns software and they did not reject it. Its been over 10 days and I still dont have an answer from eztaxreturn nor do I have a refund.

      Filing of your Ohio State Tax Return  
      Unfortunately, due to an issue with withholding when your Ohio return was filed on January 28th, the State of Ohio rejected your return on February 2nd. Our records show that you asked for assistance on February 3rd and we provided an update on February 5th indicating that the rejection needed some additional research. On February 7th , you requested a refund that we agreed to for the full price of your state return filing of $26.74. In our response to agreeing to provide the refund, we indicated refunds can take up to 10 days to post. We granted the refund of $26.74 on February 15th. Our records show that we provided the solution to your rejected state return on February 18th and that you refiled your return the same day. Our records show that your OH return was accepted on February 19th. 
      No record of a rejected return at the state level 
      Please note that a customer service representative at the *** or State will only have a record of a filed return if it is accepted. Since your return was rejected, no information is available. 
      Please reach out to the email and or phone that was included in our correspondence if you have not received the refund that was processed on February 15th.

      My tax return was rejected by the *** on the 28th of January, 2025 which I understand happens. The message on the web site states that they would let me know what to do so the issue would be resolved. Four days later and nothing, nada. I emailed them 3 times of which one of the emails was answered and they wrote my inquiry was forwarded to their "development" team and I have not heard a word since. I subsequently emailed them asking for immediate resolution or to delete my information so I may file with another provider and have heard nothing but crickets since. Rejected returns have a specific reason why and EZ Tax Return has absolutely no sense of urgency to let me know what I have to do to have my return corrected and submitted successfully. Additionally, I am rather suspicious that they would forward this issue to a development team since this would seemingly be a tax issue, not a coding issue?

      My spouse lied about income we file together for insurance purposes only we don't live together but tell ya this is the last year for this nonsense Yes everyone I have talk to including the *** has told me in order to do a 1040x for 2023 you have to use the service you filed with the software. These people are emailing me telling me they cant. *** said wrong so I paid for their services in January 2023 and I need to file this 1040x for 2023 **** no one can help me ******* ****** even said go threw them please help me to get this straighten out because I want a refund if they don't let me get on there and do my 1040x for 2023
