I had gutters installed on July 31st, 2023. There were issues with the installation, so the company had to come back out on August 1st. Upon completion of the project, the second installment of the payment was completed. On August 3rd, we had our first rainfall and I noticed our gutters were leaking. I tried contacting the company numerous times to have someone come out to fix the issue, but nobody was returning my messages. I then noticed a 7 inch gutter nail impaled in my AC unit, causing the unit to malfunction and overheat. I called the company yet again, and still no response. Since the project was not completed, I called my credit card company to put a hold on the final payment. As stated in my initial agreement, half the fee was to be paid upfront (which it was) and the second installment was to be paid upon completion of the project. Since the project was not completed, I am not required to pay the second installment. Again, after constantly trying to contact the company, eventually on August 9th, I got through to Brenda who scheduled someone to come out on August 16th. On August 16th, I received an email from Patrick N**** stating that "It looks like the final payment was reversed. Due to this action, your project was referred to legal and no future work will be scheduled until resolved. If you would like to resubmit payment and resume services please let us know." I immediately wrote back to Patrick, telling him what happened, but I have yet to hear back. I still have leaks in my gutters and I am receiving zero communication from this company.

Seven months ago, I had Brothers Gutters come for an estimate to install gutters. I liked the estimators price and knowledge, so I paid a deposit of $4200 to hire them. After a few delays, they came by to install the gutters. They told me my fascia boards were rotted all along my house and needed to be replaced before the gutters could be installed. They gave me a quote to replace the fascia, and I signed a contract for them to do that work as well. Many months pass; they send over a few sub-contractors to look at the job, but no work was ever done. Finally, I asked them if I can cancel the job with them and get my money back. They said I could, but they had just hired people that could replace the fascia in-house and they could do it the next week. I agreed to that. They come over the next week and started to replace only the metal trim on the fascia, telling me that the fascia boards themselves aren't actually rotted (after telling me otherwise months ago and the reason the project was held up for months). Luckily I was home to send them away because as the metal trim is only 12 years old and in perfect condition. I asked for my money back, but now they don't want to issue a refund because work was done. Even though the work was not at all what was specified in our contract. If I don't get a refund this week, I'll start the process to get my money back from them through small claims court.
