Very disappointed with the service and results on my vintage custom pickup. Estimate was accepted and a large down payment made in April 2023. The vehicle was delivered on June 2 and another payment was made that should have covered the remaining estimate, less taxes and any small add on costs to complete the project. 2 days worth of total accumulated labor was the estimate. The work was finally completed on July 11, 2023 and the final bill was a shocking 40% higher than the original estimate. The added labor and parts did not seem to be entirely justified. The truck was shipped back to me in CA on July 17th. After inspecting the work for the first time, I discovered that the truck had been damaged while in ****** possession. The driver side bumper had been hit and the bumper mount bent inward. The driver side front fender had been creased and the entire fender bent inward. They said that they would do the repairs after Hot August ******* Well, that has been 5 weeks ago and ***** does not return calls. Frankly, I do not trust them to complete the work satisfactorily, or in a timely manner based on others complaints. And to add insult to injury, someone at ***** had spilled a cola in the cab and left behind a sticky mess under the seat.

Regarding the final billing being 40% higher than the original estimate, and added labor and parts not justifiable:The estimate, which he signed, clearly states that it is an estimate only, and that under no circumstances are such estimates a maximum or minimum fee quotation. The final billing also included sales tax and shop supplies, which the estimate clearly states is not included.****** added additional work to be done to the vehicle when he dropped it off at our shop. None of these items were included in his original estimate, therefore, incurring additional charges for parts and incurring additional labor. Both ****** and his Uncle *** were told that the additional items were not included in his estimate and would be extra.Regarding the damage to the truck:Unfortunately, the vehicle was not inspected when it arrived at the shop, so we cannot confirm or deny the fact that we caused the damage. Because of this fact, and because we considered ****** a good customer, we told him that we would fix the damage at no cost to him, but it would have to wait until after Hot August ******* We told ****** that we would contact him 2 weeks after the event to get him on the schedule.Regarding not returning phone calls:On August 10th, we called ****** to get him on the schedule, but had to leave a message asking him to give us a call back. The first time we heard back from ****** was on September 7, 2023, where he left a message stating that he had just gotten out of the hospital and could not drive his truck because of the damage and that someone had spilled coke everywhere. In the past, we have had difficulty reaching Mavin, as he has medical problems and has been in and out of the hospital. After we left our message and didnt hear back from him after a couple days, we figured he was back in the hospital and would return the call when he got out, as usual.Regarding someone spilling cola in the cab and leaving a mess:We have 3 employees that are allowed to drive customer vehicles. At no time are they allowed to have food or drinks in a customer vehicle. We do not believe the sticky mess under the seat was caused by our shop. Marvins truck is not the cleanest and this could have been prior to us working on the vehicle.
