I recently had a very disappointing experience at Vitamin Shoppe (store 0904) helped by (*****). The store manager was not polite, and was very unprofessional, complaining about having to give me change after I paid with a $100 bill. It was frustrating to hear her gripe for several minutes, standing there with her hands on her hips, shaking her head and blowing steam instead of focusing on providing good customer service. I assured her that more customers would come and she would get more cash throughout the day, but the fussing persisted.Given that the bank is just 50 yards away and open, and several convenient stores nearby and a restaurant next door, its hard to understand why she hesitated to help. This encounter left me with an extreme sour taste, and I will not be returning to this store. It took everything within my core to not behave in an equal manner in the moment. Next time, I'll leave my stuff on the counter and walk out. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future because today's customer experience was beyond trash!!!The Vitamin Shoppe

Purchased Nature's Way Valerian (90 capsules). Unfortunately when I needed to take it, the inside seal was not intact, in fact halfway opened. Had to trash the entire purchase, since these were capsules, and could have been tampered with. Did not have the receipt anymore to go back to the store. Rating: 0 of 5.The Vitamin Shoppe

1 star?? Avoid Auto-Ship at ALL COSTS! ??If I could give zero stars, I would. This company has been auto-shipping me two separate orders for SIX MONTHS because their in-store employees created TWO ACCOUNTS for me. Ive tried everything to fix it, but their customer service is beyond *************, I spoke to ******** from customer service at 11:30 AM EST, and wowwhat a joke. She smugly pretended not to understand the issue, repeated herself like a broken record saying she couldnt help, then put me on hold for 17 minutes before doing absolutely nothing. Rude, unprofessional, and totally unwilling to ********* make matters worse, they demand an email from 2012 to verify the account (seriously??), and if you dont have it, they just shrug and say, "Sorry, cant help!" Meanwhile, they keep charging me month after ********** yourself the frustration and DO NOT sign up for auto-ship. This company clearly doesnt care about their customers once they have your credit card on file. ????Review fromEsther Laura D

1 starBuyer beware. The prices here are sky rocketing beyond normal inflation. The Vitamin Shoppe has started their own" telehealth" program for pharmaceuticals. Don't worry they will give ******* to absolutely anyone without underlying conditions or obesity. This is not monitored by physicians. They have paired with Big Pharma to rack in the cash for instant gratification. They will give *** without blood work. This is a company that no longer cares about your health only your money. I have witnessed a store manager cuss out an employee in front a store full customers, and turned around to be disrespectful to myself as well. I called to report this to corporate, but forget about talking about it or having a returned call. I have an auto delivery that I was told I was unable to manage from my account, that it could only be changed by the store you signed up at. You are able to login and manage it on your own. Please be aware of this, as the owners have filed bankruptcy. Googling information they act as if they will not be going out of business, but they will scam you in anyway to keep their doors open. You may not have live help on an online retailer, but you can find higher quality products for a much better price elsewhere. They try to force their product on you that is now higher than the name brand. Save time, money and your health by shopping somewhere else.Review fromLK O

1 starTheir website states "The Vitamin Shoppe Family of Brands Our brands are put through 320 rigorous quality assurance steps, and ingredient purity and potency are verified by independent, third-party labs. You can feel confident that all products from The Vitamin Shoppe family of brands meet or exceeds industry quality standards." BUT does not state who are the 3rd party testers anywhere that I can find on their site and when attempting to search the store brand products I purchased under "Certificate of Analysis", that is listed at bottom of the page, by lot# none of the store brand supplements will pull up. I even call the store and had them read me additional Lot#. I would give less than a 1 if I could. Sounds like a lot of untruth/lies and misleading information.Review fromTiffany J

1 starWarning! The **** ***** store will bait and switch on you!!Per the return rules on the website, I was bringing back 3 items of the same brand with one opened. I figured if I didnt like the one item that the others would be equally bad. The order was a place online, pick up in store deal. I ended up finding out I was given the wrong item the day I picked up the order. They were low key trying to blame me for the mix up until I shut that down immediately. How could it be my fault if I was picking up a pre packed order?!Then, the manager ******* made up rules on the spot regarding my clearance returnssaid they were final sale. I pulled up the rules posted online (that I was following) and asked him to show me where it says what hes saying. Of course no one could point it out. Tried arguing my point with customer service on the phone. I felt like I was speaking with professional gaslighters, and I know that terms gets thrown out a lot but they were literally telling me what I was reading from Vitamin Shoppes actual website was wrong. Absolute craziness and Ive been a loyal customer of the company for a long time now. Talked in circles for over half an hour and got nowhere. Best part was speaking to a supervisor who understood my situation and told me I could have my return picked up by a courier, BUT I wouldnt know when they would show upI should just have my items boxed and ready for this mystery person to show up randomly in 3-5 business days. Yes this all really happened, I am not embellishing anything. If they could have just shown me the rules they were trying to enforce that would have been the end of it! I worked retail for 10 ish years; I always try to be a considerate customer, but what they did was absolutely wrong. After that insanity, I ended up going to my usual home location they were helpful as usual, so I was able to get some of my money back. ****** learned about straying. Regardless Im done though. Stay away from this Vitamin Shoppe!Review fromBryan S

You must be careful, the employees give incorrect information, in my account I asked for the number of accumulated points they told me ******, when I made another purchase they had already told me that I had more than ******. They did this to keep the points and not change them, I had to file a complaint with the prosecutor's office, I will wait for a solution. The Vitamin Shoppe

Thank you for your patience while we reviewed your account. This issue was escalated to Corporate to which we replied on June 10th. After review, we see that you earned a total of ****** points for 2024 and you redeemed ****** points in the form of rewards. Due to exceeding the ****** point maximum per year, you stopped earning points on 6/7/2024. You will begin earning points again next year. We understand that you were told you only had ****** points before your purchases, but we cannot locate this conversation. If you have any additional information, like the date you contacted us or the name of the person you spoke with we can research this further. We have determined that you are not owed any further points or rewards and we consider this matter closed.Review fromNicole E

I wanted to ensure that I received the product on time in order to avoid any interruption in usage and to see consistent results. However, the delivery was made to the wrong address and it was marked as delivered with a photo, but not my front door. The company initially hesitated to resend the product to the correct address despite my explanation that the photo did not match my front door. After providing a picture of my actual front door, they agreed to send another shipment. Unfortunately, this second shipment was never sent out as the tracking number stated the shipping label was made but never received. Which I can only assume they made the label and never shipped it, since the reorders are primarily 2 day shipping in turn costs the company more money. Cheaper for them not to send it. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue with virtual assistants and customer service for over a week, a *************************** eventually informed me that they would issue a refund instead of sending the product. The Vitamin Shop's customer service and shipping process were very disappointing. In the future, I will be ordering from Amazon and recommend others to do the same. The Vitamin Shoppe
