      I was promised 2/ 5/7 months free . But nothing the full **** comes and When I call they tell me the sales person needs to put a special code in and the sales person wont return calls, so Im stuck. And , there doesnt seem to be anyone in charge of direct sales people to get them to do their job . So hours of wasted time , both mine and customer service that try to help .. I deducted the amount promised and now they are cutting off service

      The contact info they provided does not work ( not a surprise ). At this point its a matter of holding them accountable if they promise a promo .

      RCN advertised in 2021 and beginning of 2022 that they would provide 1GIG of internet for $34.99/month with two months of free service and $250 gift card. I signed up for service on 1/18/22. The customer rep told me I would get 2nd and 5th month free and receive a gift card by e-mail from ***************. I am getting 940 Mbps of internet as offered so I never questioned what was on my account. Apparently, they put 500 Mbps and now tell me I do not qualify. I do pay $34.99/month as in the offer and actually get 1 GIG Mbps but because they put 500 Mbps on the ****, I cannot get a gift card. I would not order service if I was aware of this trick.

      The business responded with an e-mail to contact them and offered to review my account and to resolve my complaint. I sent an e-mail to that address, and it was returned as undeliverable as the address was invalid.

      Internet , ********** works as expected 90% of the time and outages for maintenance during non peak hours are fine. I am a Low income Household with two disabled people paying $210 a month. We are required by law to use our Landline to call in our hours. We have been a customer with our ********************** provider since before Wide Open West became WOWway and Now Astound Broadband Powered by RCN. Astound continues to provide reliable service. Our Service is One Dedicated Digital Cable Line and One Dedicated Internet and Phone Line . 500 down 50 up Astound Cable let me know I could Use My Own hardware upon acknowledging that their is an issue allowing me to access the Modem/Router and even told me what type and model I needed to buy. I bought my Own Hardware and called today to get it hooked up . Something I have done in the Past without issue " HOWEVER NOW " . I'm ready to Use my Own Hardware however it seems my Account has been put into some sort of " LIMBO " where If I choose to Use My OWN hardware I would need to forfeit my Current plan . Even tho I have the Exact Same Model plus a tech would need to install new hardware since we use a Phone Line . I'm now out $120 USD for my own equipment upon being told by customer care there would be no issue , Yes I ASKED 1st ! RCN told me My Account will not be available for any type of Service UPGRADE or DOWNGRADE until we Submit to their terms by forfeiting our Current Plan . For this I'm only giving a 4 star review Sincerely An Unhappy Customer

      The recent cut over from wide open west to astound has to have been the worst managed cut over in cable history. When our service was transferred to a Astound we were without Internet for a week and cable TV for up to three weeks. We couldnt talk to anybody who could get us service faster and we finally disconnected from Astound. We returned our cable equipment by ***** and now theyre calling to say we didnt send everything back and theyre going to charge us $900 for what we didnt send back. Yet I can cant get a list specifically of what we still owe them. Different representatives Tell me we owe different things. We want a definitive written list and nobody can send me one. I want some executive intervention to resolve this. We are not technical people and dont understand all this equipment and I resent having to do all this work because Im not on Astounds payroll. Its taking lots and lots of my time and I have other work to do and a life to live otherwise.

      Ive had service with RCN for almost 2 years. My **** has been on auto pay for a while. Astound takes payment 5/9. Friday 5/27 Astound disconnects my service. When I called in I was told by one of the numerous reps I was transferred to that your service was disconnected because we no longer carry the plan you were on l, you have to resign up for $58 per month. No warning, no letter, no call, yep they took my money & disconnected my service.Several hours, 3 managers, 4 awful reps later, it gets sorted out and my services are back on. But now my modem will not work and need a tech support. Die to the holiday one cant get out until later next week; now making their problem the customers priority. Very frustrated that for no reason at all I now have to go 4 days with no internet with a toddler. I write a review on ******* Someone responds back very apologetic and asked me to email them ASAP to get my services working. Only they provided an invalid email. When I bought this to their attention, they said NOTHING! Due to my very busy work schedule I cant be around for a tech support.I opted to pick up a modem from the around location on ******* street. That didnt work and now being told I have to wait until Saturday when Im unavailable for tech support. This has been a trash experience from start to never ending. Their pledge to customers is flat out fraud because they ethically go against everything that they claim they are based on. They go against ethical and good business practices. This has been a clown show.

      Yes, someone from your office claimed they would assist under a different review. I emailed your ceo and corporate Board of directors. Some one from your corporate office stated she would call customer service and did absolutely nothing. If your ceo and corporate office do not care about their, how do I expect anyone else to. I have canceled the services and returned your equipment, and I couldnt do it fast enough. Thanks for absolutely NOTHING

      This company is highly unethical, possibly committing illegal acts. They charged me 12x my normal **** and demanded payment. They said I could *** them if I wanted. Dont use their services.

      They rent out equipment to their customers that have well-documented hardware issues. Do not rent their modems.

      One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. They have no problem ripping you off right in front of your face. They will make up stuff and lie to you every chance they get. Please Stay away from this company.

      Astound is horrible!!! They are trying to charge me $186/month for streaming services thru my firestick that were FREE with WOW!!!! So basic channels in *******, along with channels like ESPN or **** I can no longer access without paying the $186/month. They are price gouging the inner city, low income customers!!!! Terrible, just terrible!

      This company is a scam just trying to make up for their low cost services by charging a minimum of $79.99 for a technician visit every time service is down - which is frequently - or locking you into their monthly service plan. They refuse to give information on devices they use inside of the home for personal troubleshooting, but then charge for replacing said faulty equipment because it's located inside of the home and they have no control over what happens to it after they leave (like I want poor internet). The best part is that they won't even fairly compensate me for the service I'm paying for, but not getting, because I won't agree to pay for a technician visit. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
