Hi, I continue to be harassed byt "Avantic Medical Lab claiming I owe them funds for a COVID test. I never have had to come out of pocket for a COVID test. The invoice I continue to receive looks "fake". It states that I will be sent to collections if not paid. The so called past due payment goes back to 12/03/2021 when I honestly don't even remember having a COIVD test completed. Can someone help me validate that this is in fact a real company. I honestly sense it's a scam.

Dear April, thank you - we appreciate the opportunity to address and respond to the concerns raised by our valued customer, ***************************, regarding their experience with our services. We thoroughly investigated this matter, and here is what we found:- The patient did indeed have a COVID test with us on 12/03/21 and the result was ready and provided to the patient via the patient portal on 12/04/21, within 24 hours of specimen swab collection.- We attempted to collect payment for services provided, however due to lack of response wrote off the dues and closed her account. No payment was made or collected for this service, and we stop attempting to collect after a while. We want to assure our customer, ********, that we are in fact a real company that is inspected and approved by both the state and federal agencies, and we insist on conducting our practice "by the books". We sincerely apologize for the experience our customer had and we assure her that she will not face such an experience from us in the future.Should you or the customer require further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us at ************.Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we appreciate the support of the Better Business Bureau in facilitating communication and resolution.Sincerely,Manoj

They dont reply to calls. My insurance covers COVID testing everywhere. They are the only ones who charged me $150 for this by overcharging my insurance. They sent me my covid report after a month and a half. By that time I had forgotten that I was even covid positive.Looks like a scam lab. Dont let them harass you by call or mail. Tell them you have read the reviews on BBB and tell them to drop it.

Hello, we cannot find a patient in our system with this name. Our COVID reports are typically released and distributed within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of sample at the lab. Sending out a report a month and half later does not sound like our lab. It is possible that customer accessed the report a month and half later, but reports are automatically distributed by the system as soon as it is resulted, the entire process is automated. Specifically positive reports are also reported to the state, and we ensure this reporting is done on a daily basis. Perhaps this customer is in our database with a different name, and we will be happy to look into this further.

I have been at my job for ten years and have always had insurance. I took a Covid test January of this year and in September, I received a bill for ****** dollars. Keep in mind the pharmacy that I took the test at advised me that my insurance would cover the bill which should have been no more than ****** at most. When I received the bill for ****** I reached out to AVANTIC medical lab questioning the bill amount and did not get a clear and concise answer to why a ****** Covid test is being billed to my insurance company for 750 dollars. The pharmacy I took the test at and AVANTIC medical lab are working together to provide false information to get people to take the Covid test while the lab is over billing people and the insurance companies and then threatening consumers to report them to credit bureaus if they do not pay them the ****** fictitious amounts they send in the mail. This company should be ashamed of themselves working in cahoots together with a friend or family pharmacy to scam consumers, insurance companies, and other entities to profit off of the pandemic, please look into this company and beware!

Dear *********, thank you for the opportunity to address your concern, and want to start with sincerely apologizing for the experience you had with this.It appears that you received an EOB from your insurance company, and not a bill from the lab. An Explanation of Benefits (EOB) serves the purpose of outlining what the insurance company has covered. Please note that you are not liable for the amount on the **** It is important to note that charges to insurance companies differ significantly from charges to patients. In our standard practice, we accept the amount approved by the insurance company, charging them the cost of running a test. When billing a patient directly, we consider various factors and charge considerably less.In your case, we accepted the amount your insurance company approved and closed your file. Importantly, we did not pursue any further contact for the remaining amount, nor did we send you an additional bill.We want to emphasize the following points:1.Acceptance of Approved Amount: Avantic Medical Lab accepts the amount approved by the insurance company as part of our standard billing practice.2.No Additional Communication: We did not send bill from Avantic, nor any phone calls or communication whatsoever for the balance that insurance does not cover. This practice is not unique to Avantic Medical Lab but is an industry standard. We hope this clarification helps in understanding our process better. We genuinely value all our customers, and our aim is to serve them with the utmost respect and transparency. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future and address any further questions or concerns you may have.Thank you once again for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,*********************
