    James was recommendeddd to me for 3 small home projects last March 2022. I contacted him, met in person, he said he could help me. He sent me an invoice for $3,500 for the work to be done. He asked for 3K "up front" with the balance to be paid upon completion of the work. He cashed the check immediately. From there, he was very sporadic with showing up to work. He often called to cancel/re-schedule or didn't show up at all. In all this time, I've sent several text messages, emails, and attempted phone calls and James is not responding to me. The most recent email from me was sent on 1/14 to ask him to get in touch so we can resove this issue (not the first time I've asked this). I did not hear from him so I resent it on 1/19 and I've heard nothing. It's been almost 2 weeks and he has not responded. I called him yesterday morning (1/23) only to hear that his VM "mailbox is full". It's coming up on one year that I hired him to replace shutters, paint a front door, install 2 storm doors and repair/paint some outside steps. As of this typing, he has cashed my check for 3K and I have 2 storm doors and a front door that needs to be repainted to show for it and I have not heard from him.

    Customer got concerned when she had a hard time getting in contact with me.  Phone tag situation where she works 3rd shift and simply was missed communications.   We had already scheduled for spring time installation and once contact was made, we agreed to continue with that schedule.  We are in constant communication now and working towards work completed when weather permits.

James has been in touch and we've been able to chat about what happened and worked through it. I'm pleased with our communications at this point in time.
