I originally scheduled my Jeep Liberty 2007 for a breather hose replacement for 8am on January 3. My jeep would not start so I called Midas on January 2 and stated it was being towed there on the 2nd even though I had appointment for breather hose to be replaced on the 3rd. Guy said ok. Well on the 3rd I heard nothing by 9:30 am and called. Guy said oh give me little more time. I waited for call he promised and at 11:15 called again. Said oh breather hose needs replacement do you want that today. Yes I replied. Told ok but will check to make sure nothing else and would call. I waited another few hours and nothing. I call back and told breather hose and PVC and waiting for dealer to call about PVC. I ask how much and told don't know waiting for dealer. I explained I needed car today with snow storm coming on Saturday. He said he would call dealer and call back. At 4pm no call so I called back and told not PVC but starter. I asked why I was told PVC and **** who I believe is manager said at first glance what they thought but starter and breather hose. Said I could pick up by 5:30. I explained the starter was just put on by their shop in April still under warranty so they will be covering that cost. I get there and my jeep is on lift. Ride had already left. I asked what. Manager **** comes out and says starter on but breather hose is Still in Blair and never delivered and when he called them they were getting ready to close said I could come back tomorrow, Saturday the 4th. I explained they lied to me and I was angry as I have 2 jobs and don't have time to keep coming back for what I was told they had and it was scheduled. Now in a snow storm I have to go back for part to be on and I don't think I should have to pay for it because they should have had the part already since I had appointment.Business Response

I spoke with ******** and she was satisfied with the refund. Not sure why this was rejected however he has my personal email and phone number to discuss any further action she is requesting. We fixed the issue and if the vehicle has further issues, we will not accept any further liabilities.
Google review:
Originally had car set to go to Midas on the 3rd of January to have breather hose replaced but jeep wouldn't start so had towed day before. I called and explained to Midas and they said no problem. Then I called them on the 3rd after not hearing from them and told oh give me a little longer and I will call you back. I wait three hours and no call. I call back and they said breather hose. They were checking to make sure only problem and asked if I wanted done today. Yes. Said they would call but never did. I call again and told waiting for dealer to call as I also need PVC but can't give me a price. Still waiting and no car with snow storm expected tomorrow. Would love manager to call me immediately.
Follow up, ******* called and I was refunded money just waiting for banknto approve. They also apologized and are seeing why like get still on.Customer Answer

7/30/2024 My car was towed to Midas auto systems expert 7557 Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68114 telephone number 402-393-2207. My car was leaking coolant and I was told by ***** ******* that I needed a gasket as far as I can see I was charged $543.37 for a hose. I do not see a gasket nor has my car stopped leaking coolant, I have contacted this business three times about my car each time I take it in. I’m told a different story .September 30 I spoke with *** at Midas told him my car was still leaking coolant .He told me to bring the car in. He put the car on a rack and proceeded to show me how many leaks I had and asked me what color was leaking out of my car. I told him it’s the coolant because I’ve had to buy more coolant since 7/30/2024. Nothing was done at this visit *** looked at the car and showed me leaks, and that was it. On October 3, I called *** and told him that my car is still leaking out coolant he said to bring it in. I did. He looked at it and another guy that worked there at Midas looked at it. Nothing was done. *** bought me back into the shop area told me it was the water pump leaking down to the antifreeze and that’s what’s making it leak. I have had a diagnostic on my car at grease monkey on 9/30/2024 at no time did they say that I needed a water pump of that my water pump was leaking. If if this in fact was my problem in the first place, why didn’t someone fix it or tell me that then why did they charge me for a hose and some coolant that they did not put in my car because I had to buy it . I feel that I was ripped off and I either want them to fix the problem . I told *** that I had pictures of the leaks. He said he did not need to see any pictures. He could smell it. My engine continues to overheat because the coolant is still leaking out of the car. I think that *** gave me this yes estimate number 1151425 for a water pump thinking this will stop me from complaining about my car still leaking.Business Response

I took my car in for a repair. They said they could do repair. They did work incorrectly. Said car was fixed. It was not. They covered up their mistakes and lied about it. Allowed me to drive my vehicle when unsafe to do so. When vehicle malfunctioned due to their shoddy work and I had to get it looked at by a different place in another state while traveling, the coverup was discovered. Vehicle is now even more damaged and I am seeking refund for work done as I will now have to have that work redone as well as even more work done that will now cost even more money. That is if vehicle can even be saved.Business Response

We have turned this claim into our insurance company to make sure our customer gets treated fairly and receives the compensation owed for any problems that were caused due to a faulty part or workmanship. Thank you.Customer Answer

This business provided faulty service then covered it up by unplugging sensors in my vehicle so that the faulty work would not be noticeable until my engine was destroyed. They allowed me to take a trip knowing I was traveling out of state with my vehicle in this condition leaving me stranded in another state with a vehicle that could have caught fire. The mechanics intentionally covered up their faulty work and endangered my daughter and my life. They need to refund the money I paid and pay to have my vehicle fixed elsewhere or buy my vehicle as the value is now vastly decreased and I am left without a vehicle to drive that I still have to make payments on. They also need to pay my expenses as I had to get my vehicle towed home and have been driving a rental car for months because they won’t make this right.Business Response

For the last 7 months starting in sept 2022 I have been to midas 8 times. I have had front rotors and brake pads replaced 3 times, front and back calipers and brake lines replaced due to a grinding noise. After a week of driving the noise starts up again. Now I have a circular screech from the front tire and grinding crunching noise from brakes. Black dust covers the left wheel and I have spent over $**** and many hours of my time waiting and driving to and from midas to fix the problem. I need to go to another mechanic who can fix this problem but have spent all money at midas. This is my family vehicle and I am unsafe on the road.Business Response
