We had contacted ConBro LLC. regarding a bathroom remodel in Sept. 2023. An offical quote was written up and emailed to my wife and I on Sept. 29. We agreed to move forward with ConBro and paid $2,475, a deposit of 50% of the quoted value of the work, up front as requested in the quote. We made a check out in that amount to the owner, *********************, per his request on Oct. 2 and the check was cashed the following day. Work on the demolition of the bathroom began on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Work was seemingly going well ending with the beginning of the plumbing work and the ******* stating that "your plumbing is good to go" via text. However, the following Monday (Oct. 23), work abruptly halted with ************** texting us stating that they were "running into some plumbing issues under your house" via text. We were informed that work couldn't resume until the issue was resolved and that we were soely responsible for paying for that work to be completed. We examined the bathroom and found that the demolition process was incomplete (drywall still intact on some walls) and our toilet had been damaged (when texted regarding this, ************** stated he was unaware of the damage and that he would pay to have the damaged lid replaced or replace the toilet entirely). We were then forced to find plumbers ourselves with only two attmepts made by ************** after which he ended all contact on Thursday, Nov. 9. Work on our bathroom did not resume until Monday, Nov. 27. To our shock, the plumbers we brought in were able to complete the required work with no issue within hours and following the remaining work being completed by a third party, the remodel was completed on Tuesday, Dec. 12. We attempted to reach out to ************** via certified mail on Monday, Dec. 18 and and again on Monday, Jan. 3. 2024 requesting the return of our deposit and payment for the toilet, but no proof of receipt or signature has arrived since. Finally, we sent ************** an email on Monday, Jan. 15, but got no reply.
