1 starA salesman came to the house about getting security for the house from top tier, I told the salesman I already have a security system with vivant and didn't really need to change because I wasn't going to buy new equipment, the salesman told me he would put all the same stuff vivant had at no cost to me, I agreed to it as long as I didn't have to pay for any equipment, the salesman told me I wouldn't have to pay for anything but the monitoring fee, my wife was listening to the whole conversation, he left and I understood all I was going to be charged for was the monitoring, they came and installed everything within 2 days, the next thing I knew I had a financing company charging me for the equipment that was supposed to be free, I called the finance company good leap and they said I was liable to pay it and said I had signed a contract with them, I called top tier security and asked them why I'm paying for 2600$ of equipment and said the salesman said it was all going to be free, the top tier security person on thr phone told me it didnt matter what the salesman said because there was a signed contract, i told them i wanted it out of my house and they said that i already paid for it so its mine now, i talked to good leap and told them what happened and the man at good leap said they have had other complaints and are investigating itReview fromSarah H

1 starIf I could give zero stars: When I signed up, I was promised I wouldn't have to pay more than what I was paying for ADT at that point. Turns out they lied to me during this process. They failed to mention that their payment consists of two components - the monitoring part they charge directly, and the equipment part that comes in the form of a loan managed by Smart Pay. The whole payment would have been double the amount promised. When I tried to clarify this, at first their service was good, one of their founders even contacted me and promised that I would be able to save money on the insurance side and put me in contact with their insurance guy. Nothing happened after a while and when I tried to reach the founder or the insurance guy, they refused to take my calls and didn't answer my emails. So not only did they lie about the amount to be paid, their customer service behavior is also shady. When I tried to get out of the contract, they claimed they couldn't do anything.Review fromBen K

1 starSigned up with top tier for a short term rental I was in. The sales reps I spoke with sold me a book of goods that was far different than our verbal discussion.The equipment was not part of the monthly security payment but rather was a completely different company that was a $2000 loan.I also informed the team that I was only at this property for 12 months but apparently the contract sent was for 60 months.Now that I am trying to cancel they are claiming I have no recourse.Stay away, they have no real understanding of running a high-service, customer-oriented business and have uninformed door-to-door reps that have no idea what they are telling clients to sign.Review fromRhonda W

1 starShady AF. Not transparent about all costs. Cancelation policy buried in the fine print on page 7 of contract. I read ****** reviews and I'm not the only one with this complaint. You wind up paying more than 2x your quote paying over $2k to "own" the equipment.Review fromBrandon F

This company was pleasant to work with. I take my home security very seriously and I felt taken care of by Top Tier. They are veteran-owned, which is a huge bonus for me as we are a military family. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to protect their home and family.
