      I have been messing with Gateway Fiber since they installed the cables under my driveway. I have a Gateway Fiber ticket # for this complaint. I have called so many times without return calls and then people saying they called when they didnt. I finally received an in person visit from *** *****, Operations Manager, who agreed that the damage to my driveway and yard were caused by Gateway Fibers installation. He promised to get people out to correct the damage. He told me that they could fill all the dirt loss and mud **** the driveway damage. He gave me his phone number because I told him of all the times people have not returned my call. Since then, I have called *** ***** so very many times and he will not return my call. I am a widow on social security and the stress of this is ridiculous. What does a person need to do to get this company to honor what they say as well as fix the damage they caused. Please refer to my ticket number for further details and please someone get back to me and fix this issue!

      Placed an order for internet service on 9/6/23 while cable was being laid down our highway. Order included details on pricing, internet speed, etc. After hearing nothing for several months I contacted Gateway on 8/5/24 to find out that although they had laid the cable along our road, they had no immediate intention to provide service.

      In some cases we place conduit in the ground (without fiber) as part of a future build plan. This conduit does not allow for or necessarily obligate Gateway Fiber to provide service. Since the customer has signed up for service, we will advise him when he is capable of being served and look forward to him as a customer.

      They cut my dog fence 3 times. I talked to the guys digging and they didn't speak English. We did get it but it is no faster and it took 3 different times coming to our house to install it. The first month was supposed to be free but they still billed us. It took more than one call to get that straightened out. . Now our neighbor got and when they Installed it they cut our dog fence again which is in our yard. I would recommend anyone NOT to get it.

      The dog fence was repaired after Gateway Fiber was made aware of the issue. We are not aware of any issues with service because we do not show any reports of problems.

      I work from my home as a sales representative. Using the internet for most of my communications with customers and manufacturers I represent.Gateway's installation tour up our yard that borders the main street in our town. The holes they dug were backfilled with rock. I asked them to repair and they promised to come out but never showed. Afraid of throwing a rock at automobiles while mowing, my wife and I went out and raked up the rock and disposed of it. Due to the harsh summer heat, grass new clean dirt and grass see will not be placed in the bare spots that were left until Fall. Despite that, having a friend that is a Gateway Sales representative, I was talked into having Gateway Fiber installed. After installation on August 8th, 2023, the Gateway technician did not take the time to explain anything and when finished said, " you're all set." He may have checked that his equipment was receiving a signal but did not check to see if was working with my Netgear Router.Although Gateway Fiber connected to my Netgear Router Model R7000, it did not provide a connection to the internet. I worked a good 6 hours trying to connect to the internet with no results. I also worked with 2 Gateway Fiber technicians, via telephone, and neither was able to help.I asked for a service call to my home office by a technician, and I was told that there would be service charges. I find this laughable, as the service charges would be for a system that never worked. Interesting that their competitor, Spectrum, does not charge for a live visit by a service technician.After my 6 hours of frustration, I disconnected the Gateway Fiber System from my router, and reconnected to the Spectrums System. I was immediately rewarded with a working system and was connected to the internet once again.Called Spectrum and told them what i was dealing with and they lowered my monthly service cost to equal Gateway Fiber's cost.

      Gateway does not charge for service calls at any time. It was recommended to the customer to use our system or do a factory reset on the Netgear router. We attempted to contact the customer several times with no response.

      This company trashed my yard during their fiber installation thorough our neighborhood. They filled all their work areas with rocks mixed with a bit of soil. They did this throughout our entire neighborhood. It looks like garbage! I removed all their rock mess and called them to request that they don't plant grass seed. I want to plant my own. Got home last night and they had sprayed grass seed all over the place. I can't and will never be able to rate their actual service, but based on my experience so far, I'd have to guess that it's shotty as well.

      The Gateway Fiber technician was blocking my garage entry with his unmarked car when I arrived home. He was also upsetting my dogs and I simply didn't feel safe - anyone can purchase a yellow vest and make ID tags. He began explaining why he was there. I did not appreciate him taking the little time I had to run home and eat lunch and spend time with my dogs. I said I might be interested learning more about service on a more convenient date. I am now getting messages thanking me for signing up for service and have a scheduled date for it next Friday. I do not understand why this got scheduled. * I DID NOT SCHEDULE SERVICE.* Now I do not want to learn more. I don't appreciate this bully tactic.

      Gateway fiber is a business that cares only about themselves. They are ran by a bunch of higher ups that do not care about you once they have your service. They will tear up your yard and not fix it. You write a review on their site and specifically ask to talk to the president but only get a gatekeeper named *** that says he will resolve it and doesn’t. I would suggest not switching to this company ever
