We signed a contract in Jan of 2021 for Schei home building to build us a home that stated it would take app. 7-9 months. We realize we were building during covid and supplies may delay us. If we ran into a hold up we made changes so we wouldn't be held up. Supplies weren't the issue. We encountered many issues along the way. Review to come later. We moved in July of 22, 1 yr and 6 months later. We have been here 9 months and still can't get our 30 day punch list completed. It is a struggle to get anything done at this point. We have water in our garage (ice in the winter), loose siding, raised shingles, missing mortar, fraying carpet, pool filter that doesn't provide enough suction, chipped concrete, several small things like caulking, downspout issues etc. We have been trying to get a detailed breakdown of an invoice we feel is inaccurate for months and he can't or won't provide it, and the yard...we were told it would be done before the frost last fall. Didn't happen, then as soon as the weather broke, that didn't happen. We were told by 3 landscape companies it will have to be tilled up at this point in order to ever have grass. It is very upsetting to see all the new projects he is working on and permits he continues to pull while leaving us with an incomplete home 9 months later. We need completion and feel that is not unreasonable.

The original contract was signed on February 23 of 21. There were some revisions to the plans and budget so construction did not start till Late June.We are working our selves and with our subcontractors to complete the punch list and will continue. We will sincerely try to speed up this process.  We were not able to drill in the ***thermal wells using vertical loops due to voids in the earth and if they wanted ***thermal we would need to dug in the ***thermal loops using 6' deep trenches. We told them that over time these trenches would settle and that we would keep working to fill them and we have been doing so just as recently as last week. We will get the side yard and part of the back yard reseeded this week if weather allows. We had a meeting last week with the granite people to get the final bill corrected for the this category. Our salesperson from the granite company left this company and went to work some where else which made for a tougher time getting the bill corrected. Respectfully submitted,

The one and only time the trenches were addressed was last Friday. And the guys  were supposed to come back Saturday to work again. No one showed up and no communication. They wanted to throw seed on top of what is close to concrete back there. You can't just throw seed on top of that and expect it to germinate without tilling it up. The hoe they were trying to use Friday was ineffective. The granite issue you are referring to has nothing to do with the itemized outdoor kitchen invoice that we are asking for. The contract was signed January 21, 2021 and actaully states 7 months not 7 to 9. As far as the *** thermal, it wasn't dug until Memorial Day weekend of 2022. If it had been done when it was supposed to, in a timely manor, the spring rain last year would have had it settled in last spring and we would not be dealing with this a year later while we live here. I called some of the subs myself this morning and the carpet company was unaware that we were having issues and they said hadn't heard from you yet, as of 1pm today. When I called they said that they would be out within the hour. All it took was a phone call that I have been trying to get you to do for months. I called the masonry, HVAC and plumber today. Hvac company hadn't heard from you either and i am waiting for a call back from the other subs.  We have a bad gas leak and was told you would be out this morning to fix. Again, no show, no call.

I apologize I was wrong, the contract was signed in Feb of 21. I was looking at a different form we signed in January.

Ground was not broke until early August.

I am not wanting to argue all those details though, the issue at hand is that we have LIVED here 9 months and can't get our 30 day punch list completed.

We filed a complaint against this company mid April looking to have our 30 day punch list completed after living in our home for over 9 months. While a few of the things were addressed, we are still dealing with a gas leak, a pool that doesn't filter and possibly has a leak, siding still popping loose, downspouts left unattached, concrete flaking, chipping and cracking in multiple areas, plumbing issues. I did get a few of the issues with some of the subs taken care of myself. **** stated that he would be working with the subs to expedite our concerns. He has not. I still have had zero contact from plumber and concrete company. I called the fabricator to see when our granite would be fixed. They said they sent **** the invoice weeks ago and told him to forward it to us, as they didn't have my contact info. He failed to do that. So not only is he not doing his job he is keeping us from getting things done on our own. We have texts saying when he would be out to fix the gas leak. All of them were no shows. See attached pictures. **** has to be held accountable for his incomplete work as well as do his job as a general contractor and get his subs involved. I should not be having to do this myself. We have paid him to do this! See attached photos
