Have been working with this company and originally they were going to match a price from a previous company we got a quote from. I spoke the salesman that came to our home, ******, and he texted me on 05/1/24 asking if I oked the amount and to send in the quote from the other company. He said I would have to call the office and put something in writing (did both). Total was 2000 with 1800 being tree removal and 200 for the ***** grinding and to take the grindings with them. I also texted the picture to him as asked. Near the end of May they did remove the tree around 05/28/24, and they were going to come back with a different crew for the ***** grinding. I told them I wanted to be home for all events, which I was for the tree and they did an excellent job of that. On 06/06/24 I called and spoke to one of the secretaries, ******, and they said they&#**;d be coming the next day on the 7th. She first called me saying they were coming and then an email a bit later saying they wouldn&#**;t be able to, which was fine. A little after I saw an omni truck that was near my home for a few minuets and then left. I called to ask about that and was told that he was called to the city. I then called on Monday and was told they would come, and once again have not. I was told they&#**;d come today on the 12th, but suddenly had a family emergency. Before I pay the bill off I wanted to get this completed, I did ask for the manager and was then put in touch with ***, the owner. He was quite abrupt and asked me about why I wanted to be home. He told me that it wasn&#**;t in the contract, but I did request this with ****** to begin with. He told me that he will let me know when they come, to which I then interjected with my displeasure at the situation and specifically that they always have some kind of reason. I keep getting excuses from everyone and being given the run around. I asked for some money taken off the total bill, to which he said no there is a thin enough margin as is, then he hung up telling me they&#**;ll tell me when they come. What brings me to the complaint is that I got a copy after speaking to the owner for a new invoice asking for 1800, due July 11th, one that I did not sign. It has nothing stated in there about the *****, changing the terms of the contract getting out of working the *****. I called the business and left a message for them, but it seems they are sending me right to voicemail a couple times. No texts either were being responded to.

In response to complaint from *******************:

We can schedule his ***** removal at 7:45 am on the date of service. ************ can pick the date, but we will have to confirm in the morning, when we know ***** crew members are present. We have answered all phone calls from ************ and we are not sure what number he is texting. We will not offer ************ compensation. If this is not acceptable to ************ we only want to be paid for tree removal.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I will be available 6/14 or next week except for 6/19 and 6/21. I would like a call the morning of the day you will be coming. I would also like the ***** grinding to be performed like the conversation I had with the sales manager, *****************************. The grinding should be done with a thin layer left and all the grinding taken off our property. I did leave 2 messages with ****** and a text and did not receive a response. I want the job to be completed as stated in our accepted contract which includes tree removal and ***** grinding for $2,000.

    Sincerely,

    *******************

This correspondence has been sent to the Better Business Bureau with the hope it will persuade Omni Tree Service to repair the damage one of it's trucks caused to our driveway. The truck was used by Omni Tree Service to remove a tree stump from our yard. Although we were disturbed by the damage, we promptly compensated Omni Tree in the entirety for its services ($3,040.00) because we have a long standing relationship with the company and felt confident we would be reimbursed for the truck driver's error. Clearly, Omni Tree understands the damage it caused. When I telephoned the firm to report the damage, a company representative came to our home to inspect and photograph the damage. Since that time, I have tried repeatedly to discuss the necessary repairs with ****** ****, the company's president, however he has refused to either accept or reply to our numerous telephone calls. It is my hope the Better Business Bureau can convince Mr. **** to meet his financial obligations to us for damages incurred as a result of Omni's inattention.

    Dear Sir or Madam,

This letter is to respond to ******* ** ******** claim regarding the damage to his asphalt driveway. I want to apologize first for all the missed calls and opportunities for resolution. We are a busy tree service company, and the high time is in the Spring and Summer. I was the one who came out to look at the damages promptly. Unfortunately, while reviewing the driveway and the pictures of his driveway that we have. He is claiming we have damaged; I would first like to note that we will not replace the whole driveway. Those were his request earlier which we refused that option. Along with refunding we are not even sure that while on site that it was our trucks. As this driveway has been many years old and shows signs of previous cracks sealed and resealed. It is not our place to replace Mr. ********’s driveway completely. We can offer a compromise. We can have a contractor submit a bid for repair for the portion that is damaged. Then we can finally come to resolution with Mr.********.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ****
