One window that needs new casement window hardware, you can't open or close it.We were told by Sela that they can't handle anymore warranty claims over two years ago because Associated Materials/****** now claims as not true.I spoke to a ****** ******** as Associated Materials/Revere.We were given excuse after excuse from Sela and Associated Materials/Revere as to why this repain can not be completed. This should have been done over two years ago. Niether party has taken any reponsibilty for this claim. We just get the run around and more excuses.Revere claims they need a serial or order number friom Sela. The serial number should be on the windows, they are not.I did not install nor purchase the materials for this Project. Sela, ****** and their suppliers did.We ensured they were paid in full on time.Initial Complaint

A police report was submitted today in regard to an e-mail I sent to **** at Sela regarding one of her employees. It's been almost a week and I have not had a reply. Today I received an e-mail regarding final payment. Some of the work wasn't completed because it couldn't be done per the installer. (window wraps that couldn't be done on certain windows). **** at Sela let me know this and that was understood. This e-mail wanting all the final insurance money with no explanation of what it all covers. It does not show a breakdown of charges, nor any wording/deduction regarding the windows that could not be wrapped. I replied wanting the breakdown.Business Response

In May of 2021 I contacted SELA to repair my roof and siding after a large hail storm. I entered into a contract with them a short time later. Since then the roof has been replaced but I can no longer reach my sales person by email or phone and the siding work still has not been started. I have literally heard nothing from SELA in more than 2 months and when I contacted the business it self to go to my salespersons boss, I was referred back to the salesperson and promised I would hear something from him. The next day I got a short email stating he might be able to get to my project soon. Since then I have heard nothing.Business Response

On July 18,2022 the ******* signed a contract with Sela to complete work as outlined by their insurance RCV. Thus far the roofing work has been completed although a final resolution has not been reached with their insurance provider in regard to the siding and ************* portion of the claim. At this time our Sales Representative ***** has been in contact with ****************'s and at this time, they have decided to close out their file with **** and complete only the roof replacement. **** is currently working to close out and submit a final invoice.Initial Complaint

Was told that they were coming to install our roof. Went home on lunch, no one there. Called to find out what was going on, no answer. I left a message and never got a call back till 2 days later when a different lady said they could come out to do the roof the following week. Next week comes, no one contacts me. We make several calls and left several messages Wednesday and Thursday with no return call or even an email. Meanwhile we've had to push off getting gutters since they can't even set a date or even communicate with us at all. They make us feel forgotten after they took our deposit. Really horrible and unprofessional company.Business Response

The roofing project was initially scheduled for September 21 and we were alerted by our supplier the morning that we were set to begin that there was a issue was the material order due to the material shortages our industry has been experiencing and the project needed to be delayed. Due to an unexpected staffing shortage due to illnesses some roles were temporarily allocated to new team members and during that role transition we made a mistake in our communication process and this delay was not properly discussed with our homeowner. When the remainder of the materials arrived the roof replacement was rescheduled for Saturday 10/1 and began that day as planned. This project has since been completed.Customer Answer

On August 10, 2021 we sign agreement with Sela Roofing for a new roof and gutters. The amount of the project was $50,000+. The work was to start in October, 2021. It did and over the next six weeks the work was done. After the roofing was done we sent (via email) both customer service and the sales rep pictures of the areas on the roof that we were not happy with (tried to talk to one of the guys roofing about the issue and he did not speak English so I got no where). We did not hear back but a couple of weeks later someone from the company (*****) called to see how everything was, I assuming to wrap up the job. We told her how we had sent the photos so she was going to track them down and get back to us. Still nothing back from then and winter came. In February, 2022 we get a bill for the balance (we gave them a 1/3 down when we signed the contract). We called them and agree to send another $20,000 and the balance when the issue was taken care of in the spring. All spring we never heard from them so we started calling. We've left three messages over the summer and still no response. The ironic thing is that we still owe them $13,000+. Every time I see their commercial on TV about how wonderful their customer service is I want to throw my shoe at the screen. HELP!!!!Business Response

In 2013 Sela installed a new roof (cost of $5,700) and insulation (cost of $1,400). After the install, we noticed more icicles than before the install, with each winter getting worse. This winter was soo bad, that the icicles were all around the house and reached the ground. We looked like a ghetto house. So I called Sela to come out and see what the problem was. After some calling around, the person we finally reached to come out to inspect the issue was *******************. I believe he inspected the roof, but saw no issue. It's worth noting that he looked from the ground, since there was snow on the roof. He then sent someone to come inspect the insulation. The insulation inspector (we did not get a name) said there was problem in the attic and said we should stop using our bathroom ceiling fan until the issue was fixed. He said they would be in touch with us after the holidays. In February, I reached out to *** again and left a voicemail. *** returned my call and said that they were waiting for warmer weather and the snow on the roof to melt before they could come out and fix the issue. He was estimating that they would be out around late March or April. In May, I left 2 messages (5/9 & 5/13) to schedule a fix. I have not heard a response. In my last voicemail, I told *** that "I was starting to be concerned that you won't keep your word".I want them to fix the insulation issue that they identified, so I can use my bathroom ceiling fan again. And so that we only get 'normal' icicles in future *******.Customer Answer

Yes, there was a warranty and they told us the repair on the insulation was covered under that warranty. Let me know if you have additional questions.
Thanks!

Hi *******,
I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting your insulation work scheduled. I can assure you that we (Sela) fully intend on honoring our commitment to making the corrections as previously discussed with **** and ***. After our call this morning to schedule the work to begin on Monday, June 6, I feel that we are back on track. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to contact me directly at ************. I will also be sending a follow up email with all of my contact information.
