    ** getting married August 3rd 2023 I started working with Tailors on Blake on June 2nd for my first fitting, June 22 for my second fitting, July 12 for my third fitting, and today was my last fitting.I didnt know there were going to be this many fittings. I was told on my first fitting that the total would be $650. After the second fitting, she asked if I wanted a bustle, to which I said yes. I was told that it would be a maximum of $200.At every fitting I continued to make sure that we were all on the same page of how much money I had already put down($500), and how much was left over.Today after putting on the dress for one last fitting, quality was great I loved it. I then get to the front desk to pay the remaining balance and its gone up almost double.I honestly started shaking because that was way over what I had planned for. I was told that the reason for the increase was because this was my fourth fitting and there were continuous changes. Which I confronted that with the fact that I had continuously through the whole process, not only put more money down, but also double checked on how much the total would be. She said there was also the tax. I paid it, thanked the tailor for her quality work, but I was beyond upset and in fact started crying.

    You are correct in that you checked on the charges each time you were in.  We had the initial charge on your copy of the original charge which did not change upon pick up.  When we asked whether you wanted it bustled, we gave you a range of $200-$240 and didn't know what it would be until we pinned it and worked on it. You did hear this when we discussed the bustle-the front of the store staff heard the conversation.  Upon pick up, the tailor did in fact charge you more than she quoted and we took off the extra charge of the bustle which was $40.00.  We didn't talk about ** sales tax until you were here to pick it up. This added an extra $63.96 to your total price. We have no control over charging ** sales tax. This the cost of doing business in most states.  It was never our intent to surprise you with the pricing-we felt we were very transparent and I'm so sorry if you didn't follow the discussion of costs. Our goal has always been to help make each bride feel they look their best on their big day along with staying in line of budgets.
