Hello BBB! I'm writing this review about the IDRewards postcards for a $500 shopping reward my husband supposedly won! While he almost fell for their act, I got online and looked them up, as I always do due to our age and something that happened to us many years ago! Of course, I read where that this is a bait-and-hook scam, but my gut just knew it! My gut never lies. EVER!! If you go against your inner thoughts you will always get taken or something bad happens! I immediately called my bank and shut my card down. So, all is well in the house of Calomeris-=*********! Thanx God and thanx BBB!

Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback you have provided. As a follow-up, a bait and switch concept requires that you are promised one thing, but given something completely different. These scemes are prevalent in our society, so it is very good to be on the lookout for them. In this particular situation, your husband did receive a mailer notifiying him that a reward was available and if he wanted to claim it, he needed to call. Upon calling in, he was notifed that he was selected to receive the reward (notice that is not the same as winning). In exchange for the $500 shopping reward from ****************************************, he was asked to take a look at two free 30-day, no obligation, trials. One for Identity Theft Protection and the other a continuation of the rewards program. All details of the trials, including cancellation details, were disclosed. Even if a customer chooses to cancel both trials during the 30-day tiral period, they still get to keep and use that $500 shopping reward. It is a thank you for taking a look at the information being mailed with the reward. That is the opposite of a bait and switch scheme. You get what was promised. At the end of the disclosure, you and your husband stated that you did not want to participate and wanted to cancel everything right then and there. The sales representative did attempt to get you to at least wait for the information to arrive in the mail, but you remained insistent to cancel everything right then and there. She cancelled the sale and refunded your shipping and handling fee of $1.98. You should see a credit post on your bank statement within 3 to 5 business days.

I've been a customer of ********************** since 2019 and I've been very pleased with the service. I signed up for the family coverage as my elderly mother was living with us at the time. It's been nice to pay ************ but have 3 adults covered. My mother has since passed on to Heaven, but my husband and I have continued with the same wonderful coverage. It's been a blessing to know that someone is watching our backs while we go about our daily routines, especially with the rise in identity theft. Whenever something suspicious arises, we receive a notification and respond to it. Whenever we have a question, the ID Rewards staff has been so gracious and helpful. Thank-you ID Rewards for all of your help. We appreciate it!!!

The same happened to me! They ARE a BAIT SCAM. I was sent a post card with the same bs on it, I won a $250 shopping spree card and all I need to do is pay $1.98 processing fee which gullible me did however I did all the right things knowing I likely would be took bc free money is nonexistent but I need it so much. I asked over and over and over am I buying anything, are you subscribing me to anything, are you selling my info, is $1.98 all that will be taken off my credit card and you assure me no other money now or future will be taken out. The rep said that was absolutely it and nothing would ever be taken and etc etc, also told two days to get the card, 4 days later I called back and told wait 10 days but it never came. I called and was hung up on many times before finally a letter came and wow I was excited only to open it and yep no **** card however I without giving permission became a paid subscriber to privacy shield!!! That card is bait and they get the cc info from you to charge you a recurring monthly expensive fee to anti spyware that is never ever mentioned in the call!! I did finally get my $1.98 refund but it was a huge hassle and while someone may say thats just chump change, its about principle and I wont be taken again. I asked the right questions and still was bait and switch so it does and can happen. DONT FALL FOR IT!!!! ITS A HUGE LIE AND YOUR CC INFO WILL BE EXPOSED AND TAKEN TO SPEND ON WHATEVER WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION!! BURN OR SHRED THE YELLOW POSTCARD. FREE MONEY GIFTCARDS DONT EXIST.

Thank you for reaching out to us today. We take these claims very seriously and have reviewed all six conversations you and your husband had with our employees. On 02/20/2024, you responded to our postcard mailer that stated that you had an unclaimed $250 shopping reward. When you spoke with our sales representative, she verified your information and let you know there was a one-time processing fee of $1.98 to *************** to you. You asked about the reward being cash and ******* explained clearly that is was not cash nor a gift card. It is reward dollars for savings on your purchases. She also mentioned that it takes 5 to 10 business days to arrive. ******* did misspeak and stated that it was coming through **** when it actually comes through the ***** She also let you know that you were going to be receiving two free 30-day trials, but you were not committed to anything beyond the $1.98. She disclosed the details of the trials and pricing. She also let you know that you had to call to cancel if you did not want the services. You did ask if she was committing you to anything, because you used your husband's card and he would be upset. ******* reaffirmed what she told you. She also offered you the ** number, but you did not write it down. You called back three more times in the next six days and wanted to speak to someone, but when they tried to offer you the ** number, you hung up. Today, your husband called our ** team and misrepresented the conversation you had with our rep. I can understand he may have been upset to read the information that we mailed to you, which included the login instructions for your $250 shopping reward at www.myidentityrewards.com. Based on the recorded conversation you had with the sales rep and what your husband says you told him, it sounds like you may have left some important information out. The ** rep did cancel both free trials and refunded your $1.98 processing fee. You do still get to keep and use the $250 shopping reward, should you choose to do so.

This business I believe is operating a scam. Got a post card from this ID Rewards claim I had a $250 unclaimed reward. I called the number, gave the man my credit card information because there was a $1.98 mailing charge. There was also this ******************************************************** at $29.47 a month to be charged after the month free. I never got the reward card. When I called, I was hung up on. I tried to call the number on this letter this ID Rewards sent me and the number came back mo longer in service. I have been keeping track of my credit card and have not seen any deductions...yet. I believe this is a scam. The address is ID Rewards, P.O. Box 216, ***********, **. *****

Thank you for your review. When you called our customer service department on 01/17/2024, the call was dropped, and we were not able to reach you after that. The customer service representative did honor your request to cancel the two free 30-day trials that day. Regarding the $250 shopping reward, the login instructions to access your reward account at www.myidentityrewards.com was included in the same envelope that your trial information was in. As a courtesy, we have resent the instructions to both your email address and mailing address. Lastly, we do not know what number you have attempted to call, but our customer service can be reached Monday through Friday at ************** from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST. Please reach out should you have further questions.
