After touring the 'Parade of Homes' in 2018, we were impressed with the quality of materials, and construction of Paulson Construction. Doug was fantastic at suggesting changes to the floor plan we found on the internet. We loved the fact that Doug did not have a huge contract that only benefited him. We had a handshake, and an agreement to make 4 payments during the build. We visited two to three times a week during the build. Every worker and supplier we spoke with raved about how great Paulson Contruction is, and that they have worked with him for many years. During the build Doug called and said the stone counters we chose had a structural defect. The supplier had new slabs in, and we chose one we liked more than the original. The supplier only had one slab, and we needed two. They went above and beyond to locate two more slabs and had them shipped to them so we could pick the two slabs that were perfect matches. We have been in the home for 3 years now, and just love it. We love to show it to people. They are impressed with the design and quality of materials. They especially like the rectangular vaulted ceiling done in tongue and groove pine with Knotty Adler beams going up the corners to a central beam, plus the soffit all around the bottom with hidden Led lighting to light up the entire ceiling. All the cement work is exceptional according to a friend who owns a cement company. All sheetrock has rounded corners on all outside corners. All the solid Knotty Alder trim, doors, and cabinets are perfect. Doug recommended lots of windows to see the beautiful, landscaped yard and woods behind the house. The view is amazing and can be seen from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and sunroom. Doug delivers on his motto of 'Expect to be Impressed' and then some. The best advice we can give to anyone looking to build a home is. 1. Paulson Construction should be your first choice. 2. Be kind and treat suppliers, contractors, and workers with respect.
