I don't know how BNP Media, **** / BNP Media II, LLC. got my email address, but they've been spamming me with emails and selling my contact information to other companies without my consent. The "unsubscribe" link on their emails is false; it leads to an unsubscribe page that doesn't actually do anything. There doesn't seem to be a way to unsubscribe from this multitude of emails I don't want. I've been receiving spam emails from *******************************, ********************, ********************, and others that BNP sold my information to. They've made unsubscribing difficult or impossible.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I hope this means I will stop receiving communication from all the various BNP Media affiliates. And I hope the company has started including legitimate, functional "unsubscribe" links in its emails. It's really not OK to sign someone up for a bunch of unsolicited emails and then give them no functional option to unsubscribe.

    Regards,

BNP Media is an umbrella over several online and print media outlets targeted at specific industries - in my case consulting engineering. Upon signing up for a single webinar relevant to my work, choosing all options during the sign-up process to minimize other contact by email unrelated to the webinar I started receiving several emails from different BNP Media companies. I followed the link in one of the emails to the BNP Media subscription preferences interface and ensured I had opted out of all forms of contact. The emails kept coming. I unsubscribed from individual BNP Media companies' emails, which I now consider spam, only to have additional emails from additional BNP Media companies flood my inbox. This company's business model seems to focus on spamming for impressions and associated ad revenue, and trying to play whack-a-mole to stop the spam is costing me time each week during my work.
