My wife and I contacted **** for our new deck we wanted built after seeing his work on a project he previously completed for my parents. From the start of our project, without hesitation, **** made two trips out to the site to ensure every detail and concern we had for the project was addressed before starting. Having had a few miserable experiences with other builders/contractors in the past, Garys approach to business was a breath of fresh air for us. Once we decided to hire him, he presented an easy-to-understand contract that was clear in explaining what to expect, and I feel that his pricing was reasonable for the quality of work he provided.**** began this outdoor project in February, when temperatures were cold enough to scare others away, and was consistently here working as often as the weather allowed for it, completing our project in just three weeks by ********** wife and I are absolutely ecstatic with the finished product. It is absolutely better than what we had initially envisioned. As the name of his business implies, **** is a Veteran. As a Veteran myself, I have extremely high (and sometimes unreasonable) expectations in most situations, especially when it comes to services I am financing, and the services being rendered. **** did not disappoint. His personality, professionalism, and work ethic embody the core values embraced by our nations military that are not often demonstrated by his civilian counterparts. His integrity, attention to detail, communication, sense of duty, and ability to overcome challenges set him apart from his peers. If you are considering a new deck project, I recommend giving **** a call. It is my personal belief that you would be doing yourself a disservice if you do not consider Decks by Vets for your next project.Decks by Vets and More LLC

I thought long and hard over the weekend about the review I was going to leave for Decks By Vets. Every time I began to write this, even now, Im overwhelmed with emotion. We asked for a deck with a handicapped ramp added onto the front of our home. We are BLOWN AWAY by how GREAT this turned out!! 10/10; I recommend Decks By Vets for anyones project! Im so glad I went online to ask for recommendations from the people in our community: the comments were a RESOUNDING Call Deck By Vets, and now I understand why so many recommended him.The quality of the finished project is what really blows me away about it all. This deck is perfect, and Garys skill is made very clear by how beautifully this project was executed. There were no shortcuts and no sloppy cuts made to lumber he used. He took the extra time to find specific hardware for a seamless transition from our pavement to the ramp, and without any prompt. We really just let him do his thing without interfering very much. Hes extremely attentive to detail and let me know he wanted it to be just right. Its very clear that he takes pride in his work!How fast was this completed? Decks By **** fully constructed this for us in 4 days total; in the dead of winter. It blew my mind. He dug holes to sink posts BY HAND, without machinery, and still managed to complete the project in such a short timespan. Not to mention, he took care not to leave any sort of mess behind whatsoever. **** always answered any calls or texts promptly leading up to the construction, quelling any concerns and answering any questions we had. We had a really poor experience with a previous contractor for a walk in shower, and we were all really anxious. He showed endless compassion and understanding for our situation. TL;DR Decks By Vets checks ALL the boxes, and will be the phone call we make for any projects our family may have in the ********* mom has been stuck in our house for years now following massive spinal injuries and, consequently, a rapid decline in her heart and lung conditions because of how limited she is in movement. She would have already been outside for hours working on her yard and gardening every morning once upon a time; but these last four years, she hasnt been able to manage even sitting outside to enjoy fresh air in the mornings. Since her health declined, we struggled to get her to and from appointments where she had suffered further injury from falls having to use the porch steps to transport her to and from doctors. She wanted to give up, cancelling appointments out of fear of further injury again.Thank you so much, ****. I cant fully express how much youve reinvigorated the fighter that I know my mom still is! And the spirit in the rest of us as well. We are SO grateful for your fine work!!Decks by Vets and More LLC

5 starsTwo years ago I had Gary and his Decks By Vets crew replace the railings on my deck and was very satisfied with that work. The week of December 9, 2024 the crew was back to replace all the horizontal deck boards. Their work looks fabulous and they included some touches I was not expecting, but certainly appreciate the workmanship! Decks by Vets did an awesome job replacing my old broken wooden spindles and railings with an all new black aluminum railing & spindles. I had a couple of choices to pick from & went with the black. It totally changes the look of my deck. I couldnt be more pleased. From start to finish was a very smooth process & will definitely use them again.Decks by Vets and More LLC
