      On August 13, 2024 ****** ***, contacted this business to find insulation for a project he was building for me. The next day ****** and ******* arrived at my home and worksite with a Quote #**** made out to ****** ***, Liberty, ME , The 14th, electrition **** ******* was present and so was the Belfast code inspector. I wanted foam in the ceilings and around the West exterior walls and rockwool in the other walls especially the garage section. ****** said rockwool would not pass code, *****, the code inspector corrected ****** and said it did meet code. In order to proceed Quantum requested a deposit of $6040.83 which I gave them CK#**** on 8/19/24. The livingroom/ library were done in foam (most of these rooms had existing North and East walls) except the South wall which was done in ********) then the garage was to be done I called ******* to explain I wanted rockwool in the walls and foam in the ceiling. She told me that I had agreed to all foam. I never did. I always talked with the enployees during this work time, the son of the owner, ***** stopped by one day and affirmed I could change the quote to rockwool on garage walls, no problem, I had a worker call that change in and later ***** of rockwool were delivered. When the time came to do the garage, the ***** of rockwool were moved outside in order to do the ceiling in foam then they proceeded to do the ceiling and the walls in foam. I asked the two employees what had happened and ***** told me there had been "screaming blow out at the office and they were told to ignore anything I said and do the foam if they valued their jobs", I had told ****** and ******* what I wanted on several occasions. After I sent a letter to the President of Quantum and had another copy personally delivered to him by an employee. I paid the bill $12,348.32 (even more than the origional quote) marked "under duress" on my check.
