    I am extremely disappointed in this program. I joined this group in hopes to finish my dissertation and when I had a horrific death in my family (my cousin shot himself in the head in front of my family), I had to change course and finished my dissertation later. When I reached out to you all about refunding my membership, since I wasnt in a position to continue and later finished on my own, I was met with indifference. Then when I went to social media to voice my concern, my post was deleted and I was blocked. What type of woman empowerment is that?! I am a single parent with 2 kids that is now saddled with a debt for a service I didnt even receive?! Its hard enough being a woman and a single mother. Thanks for making it harder! I am truly disappointed. I thought this company was different.

    I have attached the email correspondence between my company, Write the Damn Dissertation that includes the screenshots of our terms and conditions as well as assurances. 

    ***** ******* enrolled in our Dissertation Breakthrough 12-week program in February of 2024. We have a 7-day Refund Policy that is a checkbox assurance in the checkout process, in the promotion of the program, as well as in the Terms and Conditions on our web site (all included in the attached correspondence). 

    Ms. ******* emailed the company on April 24, 2024, two months after enrolling in the program. At that time, she requested a refund. Since it was outside the 7-day window, we offered her the opportunity to join another cohort so that she could receive the support she paid for. We did not receive a response from her. We sent an additional email to Ms. ******* on May 13, 2024 asking again if she would like to be added to the next cohort. We did not receive a response. 

    On July 30, 2024, she asked that we contact Affirm, the 3rd party payment vendor she used to pay for the program, to cancel her account. She said that she never made a payment. I explained that once she enrolls using a financing partner that we have nothing to do with them. They are an independent financing vendor. She wanted us to take care of that for her. 

    She emailed and sent a message again on April 29, 2025 explaining that she was disappointed she did not receive a refund. Our policy is very clear in the checkout process that there is a 7-day refund period. Our policy has not changed.
