    July of 2022 I brought my weed trimmer to Lehman's Hardware for repair. Six weeks later I attempted to pick it up and was told it would be four more weeks and they would call me. I never received a phone call so I called several times and went back to the store on four separate occasions each time leaving my name and number with no results. The final visit to the store I asked for my weed trimmer and they said it was gone. I never received any notification from Lehman Hardware about the weed trimmer. I asked to speak to the owner and the lady pointed to a picture on the wall " stating there he is good luck" meaning the man had died.

    On 5.25.2022 I dropped off two items to be serviced there (A lawn mower and a weed trimmer). I was told it would take 2 weeks to get serviced. $60 was paid at that time, $30.00 for the lawn mower, and $30.00 for the trimmer, and I was to pay the balance when I pick them up. After three weeks, I called the store in order to check on the status of my items and was told that they could not find them or the receipts for the orders. A couple of days later I called again and was told the same thing that they could not find my items or the receipts and that the owner must have taken the receipts home with him for pricing. I waited for about another week, called again, and was told that my lawn mover was ready to be picked up, but that they did not know where my weed trimmer was. On Jun 27th, 2022, another call was made to inquire about my weed trimmer and I was told again that they did not know where it was. I asked if they could not find it, what would they do, and was told that they will replace it. So today, 6.28.2022, I stopped by the store again to check on my trimmer and was told the same thing. When I mention to the guy that told me he could not find it, that you guys need to do a better job tracking receipts, because I have the receipt with me and you still could not find it. Then I suggested that they start using a computer, This older guy, I believe his name is Dave and the owner became very disrespectful, loud, and unprofessional with me. He started cursing at me and got mad because I asked for some answers related to my weed trimmer. I was told by him to shut the "F" up and get out of his ******** store. As of right now, I do not have my weed trimmer, nor do they seem to know its where about.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/04) */ I did call Mr. ****** and apologize , Mr ****** trimmer was across street in shop and had been looked at to tune up. the mechanic cleaned carb which needed a carb kit and placed carb on trimmer. the trimmer still had a miss and I was told to order a magneto coil because spark wasn't strong enough, I ordered and I didn't know this was Mr ****** trimmer until the next day when I went to shop and was told his trimmer is apart and waiting for coil which I Had ordered already, coil was placed in trimmer and runs great. The trimmer is older and needed this work done. We are busy and not enough help , we are about 3 weeks behind in work and are not taking trimmers in to catch up.Mr ****** came late after shop closed and was very adamant about wanting his trimmer and was loud with manager and was defending him. Has been called to pick up trimmer, not many repair shops around any more and all repairs we do everyone is very pleased with work, The store has lost help through Death and heath at front end of business and me with back surgery causing very difficult to run Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The encounter describe above is not exactly true. I did receive a call from Mr. ***** The owner and the guy that interjected into a conversation that I was having with one of his employee. Mr. **** is also the guy who was disrespectfully and unprofessional to me but cursing me out and telling me that I don't know anything about running a ******* business and to get the **** out of his ******* store, when I mention to his employee that they need to get a better system to keep track of orders I had brought my receipt to the store several times, and each time that I either called or visited the store in person, I was told that they could not find my trimmer. I received a second call from someone in they store ( I believe it was the manager), suggesting that in order to make things right they will keep my trimmer and return the $30 deposit that I gave them to start the work. Of course I said NO! If I had agreed to this, they would have paid me the $30 that I already gave them and then fix my trimmer, then sell it as their owner. I then received a voice message from Mr. Dave the next day, letting me know that my trimmer was ready to be picked up. He explained that additional items were needed and installed onto my trimmer. (All of course without my knowledge nor approval.) In fact, his voice message was the first time someone explained to me the additional parts that were ordered without my approval. ( In fact, each time I either called or stopped by the store, the staff members were asked my me, what were the additional part that I needed?, and no one was willing to give me an answer. In his voice message, Mr. Dave stated that the new cost will be $111.90, but he will give it to me for $99. ( This is in addition to the $30.00 that I already gave them). The next day, I contact the store and talk to a manager about picking up my trimmer. At which time he told me that the cost was now $141.90. When I got to the store, I explained to him that I was told in a voice message that the amount that I needed to pay was $90. Which mean that the total amount that I paid was this job was $110 in total. After picking up my trimmer, I when down the block to 5620 Belair rd.( Which is one of the houses that I manage and needed to cut and trim the grass on that day.) The trimmer initially started up, then about 15 mins later, when I tried to start it up again, it would not start. Note: Since I am not interested in doing any more business with Lehman Hardware Inc, I decided not to take my trimmer back to them to fix it again, and instead plan on purchasing a new trimmer this week. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/07/12) */ We guarantee our work for 30 days, the trimmer worked when he left and he stated he used for 15 minutes and cut off , not sure if he tried to start again , could need carb adjusted , we placed new carb kit and new magneto coil , his trimmer is older and coil was discontinued , but was able to order new coil from another dealer who had this part , we have tried to do everything to satisfy him . need to bring back to see what problem is with trimmer Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/07/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I will bring it back as long as I do not have to pay more money to get it fix, and they can guarantee that they can fix it the same day.

    I bought a riding lawnmower from Lehman hardware Inc. On February 25th 2022 where I put down 300 dollars . The mower total was 725 dollars. I paid 425 the completion of the total price on March 24. 2022.They delivered the mower on March 25, 2022. When I checked it ot the mower was not cutting the grass only laying the grass down. Also the two front tires were rotted. I called Lehmans over a dozen times and they would not answer my calls .I left many messages and no one returned my calls. I made a visit there twice and they claimed that the manager or owner was not available. Finally , I called on April 24th 2022 and spoke with a lady and she stated they would send some one out to fix it or exchange it. To date I haven't heard from Lehman hardware. I need this situation resolved as soon as possible

I don't' they know how to en gauge blades we have returned mower , hope everything is fine with *** Thanks David ****** Consumer Response /* (3000, 17, 2022/06/06) */ LC 06/06/2022- The consumer called in and advised that the new lawnmower provided is spitting out oil and is not working properly. Need business to contact consumer to resolve this issue.
