I contacted **** ***** at Engineering Alliance over phone on October 15, and followed up by email. General estimate is the work would be done in a week or two. Our surveyor sent along our site plan on October 17. I followed up repeatedly by email and phone to confirm **** had everything he needed to do the work. In late October the secretary told me they had just received the files and **** would be starting shortly. When I spoke to ****, he then said the plans would take a day or two.We finally got a first draft on November 7, noting he needed additional details, which my contractor responded with immediately. Another week without communication, followed by my contractor finally getting **** on the phone, and a stamped plan provided November 17. We immediately submitted and got feedback from the city on November 21 noting discrepancies in the site plan (**** made assumptions about yard usage and paving without asking us the plan or indicating more info was needed). We shared the request from the city for ***** detailed calculations and the error with **** on Thursday November 21. On Monday November 25, called to get timeline and **** reported it would be ready Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday the 27th, still no plan. I called the office 4 times before finally secretary said he was in (about noon) but on another line and would email. ***** email simply stated that he would have it by end of week.Communication is painful, as are timelines that keep getting missed and that project cant move forward without this. Had **** said in October it would take him over a month, we would have gone with a different engineering group given our project needs, but went with **** because of recommendation and original expectation of 1-2 weeks.
