I hired ********************* ** on August 31st 2021 to complete my home renovation due to a fire back in May 2021. He told me it would be complete by Christmas. I paid him $58,000 in September. He did not start work until the end of October. The bank did an inspection in February and he only had 27% of the work complete. He requested another payment. The mortgage company sent out $28,000. ****** told me he is not coming to do work until I pay him another $13,000. As of March 2022 he has gotten $100,600 from me. The bank did an inspection June 3, 2022 and resulted only 50% of the job has been completed. I gave him 75% of what he asked for and he only has 50% of the work complete in the past 9 months. After doing research, he lied about having a license. I called the building inspector and found out he was using someone else's license to pull the permits. I have tried to work with this guy for months and still he is not producing any work. He has never showed up with team of workers. I own a 2 family house. Both sides have to be remodeled. He has 1 or 2 people coming to work on the house. The work he has done so far is horrible. I had 2 contractors come out and inspect his work. They let me know he has only spent about $30,000 so far. I asked him to just refund me the last payment of $44,000 and cut ties. He has yet to respond. I really need to fire this guy and get my money back so I can have another contractor finish the job. I have been living in a mobile home for a year now. He has extended the finish date several times. I have to be out the mobile home by July 9th. He is no where near close to being finished with the job. My family and I will be homeless. He has been working under the license of ***********************. He should never be able to do any remodeling on anyones home. He is what you call a handy man, not a contractor. Today is June 28th, ****** has not been here since the meeting with the building inspector. He does not care about his license unfortunately.
