We hired GC Desired Services to complete a renovation of our backyard and fence to be used for wedding-related activities this year in September. The project kicked off in May 2023 and was expected to be completed by June 2023 at a total cost of ~$33K. My wife and I have paid ~$33K to date and the project is nowhere near complete - with zero progress and updates since mid-September. All that has been completed to date is demolition and removal of some dirt. A large portion of the money was supposed to be for materials (pavers, fence, stone dust, etc.) which the owners both said were purchased and held at the vendor/supplier multiple times. Eventually, I called the vendors/suppliers and they confirmed that no orders were made nor was any money paid to them - only that they had talk to the owners about a potential order. Ultimately, the owners lied about where the money went, have not been able to produce proper documentation to show where the money went, abandoned the project, made excuses after excuses, and ceased all communications with us with no plans to complete the project or refund us. Our goal is to be fully refunded so that we can hire another company to complete the project. The co-owners of company are *************************** ************************** / **********) and ************************* ************************* / **********).
