    I looked on the Kayak website to book a hotel for a family trip. The price looked reasonable but instead of booking two rooms online I called the provided phone number. Big mistake. The gentleman quoted me nearly the same price so I said yes. Come to understand he was charging me PER ROOM. I didnt accept the second room and told him I changed my mind, as I understood I was booking two rooms at that price. He had immediately charged both rooms and said he couldnt refund. Two hours and many calls later I still dont have my money. The problems are that his think accent made it just a little bit hard to understand, and he never quoted the full price, which would have tipped me off right away. I dont feel like these things are misunderstandings, but rather designed to trap customers. I dont appreciate it at all. Kayak and Expedia (parent company) employ a couple web of aggressive third party workers that excel at getting your money, but are miserable at any meaningful customer service.

    Went on kayak.com to search for a flight and without my knowledge they have enrolled me into their mass email distribution list. I have never accepted anything or ever enrolled in it.
