This business I found not be very reputable. Any business that is advertising crowdfunding, yet you charge a 5k startup fee, this says a lot. When I spoke to that company and they told me they dont make much off the initial 5k they said it goes to attorney fees for the *** filing. The sec filing is only page. This was also a large red flag to me, so if your raising funds and youre opening part of your pitch stating that you raised 500k, but you need five k for us to be in your platform and its to cover documents? I was born at night not last night. Also several people on the platform have been there for quite some time like over a year and a half with no funding from your platform just the initial 100$ that person invested into themselves. So I dug deeper you dont have any social media because there are a lot of bad reviews. Mainly people not getting money. A couple on service and one about some kind of refund. (That may have been meant for someone else). All in all after digging deep I found that this company is not as good as advertised. And buyers beware.

c*** service. went to take a withdrawal and wasted hours. couldn't get a message sent to my 2-fac tor notification. Tried multiple numbers. Went into a circular h*** and gave up. Called their customer service during business hours and got voicemail! LOL. Ever seen that at a serious business? Emailed customer service yesterday and still waiting for a response. Seldom seen such incompetence. Never in the financial world.

I tend to agree with the fellow below. It seems funds go into Netcapital but cannot taken out. There's got to be something we can do to get our investment back.

I "invested" in a company through Netcapital in 2019. I basically forgot about it until recently when I realized I never received the promised yearly investor financial (and nothing every from Netcapital after I gave them my money). I checked on the company I "invested" in and guess what? The app and website seem like they have not been updated in years. So I go to the Netcapital site and look at my "account". It has nothing there! No updates nothing. Now I notice a lot of the information that was on the site when I invested is gone. It seems now Netcapital talks about their "investments" like they are "crowdfunding". The more I look at it the more scammy it appears. As, now, Netcapital is a publicly traded company trying to present as a legitimate financial wellness option. I looked at the SEC filing of the company I invested in and notices how much was elaborated to make it sound more than just an "idea"! Furthermore the 3 "co-founders" are two young women and their wealthy physician father who has experience in the medical technology sector. They used him to make them sound more viable then they actually where. Once the website was built the Father was no longer a co-founder. So I filed a complain with the SEC today about Netcapital and this bogus company they represented as legit. I've also reached out to a few attorneys as, the more I did, the more I find doesn't add up. Maybe there is a class action here somewhere for us who invested in good faith only to be scammed.
