    10/2021 **** Whitman with Whitman roofing from *************** replaced our roof through an insurance claim on hail. We hired ****. **** reassured us that ALL measures would be taken (protective measures/and or removal) for our gutter guard system. These were new in 2020 and we were concerned that they might be damaged in the process. ****, and his sub contractors, DAMAGED a majority of these gutter guards. **** claims he did not and cannot be held accountable for damage caused by him or his sub contractors. And, he was fishing during the install process on my property. (I have cameras) We paid $575 out of pocket for the damaged gutter guard system 5/2022 and we want him held accountable for this amount, as well as his dishonesty and poor workmanship/management skills. I would like the money reimbursed in full. After trying to deal with this like adults, he has been very rude, dismissive, dishonest, and extremely difficult to even try to get basic insurance/claim/representative information from to try to deal with this issue without dealing with him directly. I believe this is not the first time this has happened due to his current coverage provider dropping him for too many claims, (his words).I hope this information reaches someone who can make this right, and to not happen again. If more information/dates/times/email records/etc. are needed, please let me know and I will assist in any way possible.

    Hello ***************. I'm sorry your not happy with your brand new roof installed by us as we fought for over a year to get approved. As I stated many times because someone else installed special leaf guards we do not Uninstall them due to warranty issue
    I did file a claim with subs insurance as that's what I'm suppose to do.also I explained in person multiple times to have leaf filter out to remove them so they are not damaged as your roof is an A frame home there is no guarantee that we can protect them. We went above and beyond to help you also gave you $2,000.00 in free upgrades on your home. The claim with roofers insurance is out of my *****

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed 

    **** is being dishonest in all regards. **** sat at my kitchen table and told me these would be removed and/or protected. I have pictures showing this is not the case. Proof that **** is lying. **** also did not manage his subs at all or communicate our concerns with them. My wife and I personally spoke with subs and the said **** never told them anything like that. **** was fishing in my backyard at this time. Again **** lied. I do not accept this as **** has communicated with my wife that he has sent a check in the mail on 5/31/22 (which we have not received as of 6/8/22). This NEEDS addressed and **** needs reprimanded for his constant dishonesty, lack of follow through, and misrepresentation. I still expect **** to pay ** back in full.
