    This or That tree service was hired to take down a tree in my backyard. This or That tree service was unable to provide proof of insurance or that they had a up to date license to do business in the state of Indiana. This or That tree service started the job on a Saturday (February 3rd 2023) they came to my house and were asked if they had their insurance papers and proof of license to do business. They informed me that they were waiting on an email from their insurance company with the policy and assured me they were insured, so they started to work. They showed up over 2 hours late to the job and worked till around 4pm. as they were packing up to leave the owner of the business, ***** ********* demanded payment in cash for half of the job up front which would have been $750.00. My wife tried to pay with a check but they demanded cash so I went to the ATM and pulled $760 from the bank and came back and paid them as the Invoice stated. it did state cash with half up front. They left and I text them later that evening requesting proof of insurance again as it was not provided. They sent me a copy but it was so blurred you could not read it. At this point I knew they were not coming back the next day, even told several family members that I had this feeling. On Sunday February 4th 2024, we again waited for them to show up to do the work and we asked them to have a copy of their insurance policy and proof of right to do business in Indiana. They finally text around 10:30am that their truck had broke down and they would be over as soon as it was fixed. Later in the afternoon we got a text that they just found out that their insurance policy ran out as of midnight on Saturday February 3rd, I informed them they could not come back without insurance. Then I asked for proof of insurance for Saturday the 3rd and they could not provide. Amber finally confessed they had no insurance and offered a refund but it has not been received as of this complaint.
