******* estimated a job on behalf of Priced Rite Tree Removal, LLC to trim trees and remove limbs at the **** residence. ******* met with me and my husband, and an agreement of the services was signed on 6-4-2024 for work to be completed within a 5-week period as stated. At this time a deposit of $380.00 (check 269) was given in good faith for services to be completed and to hold open a date to be scheduled within that timeframe. There was no communication from ******* up until July 9, 2024, when I left a voicemail asking when I would be scheduled for the services. After a follow up call from me, she said a date would be solidified and scheduled shortly, and ample time would be given to us so we could rearrange commitments and be available the day of the job. On Tuesday, August 6th at 9:44 AM, ******* texted me to let me know they would be at the house to service the trees later in the afternoon. I wasnt given reasonable notice as was requested by me and assured by ******* that I would have in order to arrange my work schedule to accommodate my being available and on-site. I was not available at such short notice. I was able to talk with her on the phone and she said they were coming and if I wasnt able to accommodate their schedule, it would be another 3 to 4 weeks before they would be back. That surpasses the promised date of 5 weeks from the agreement date of June 4, 2024. Offering to work toward a mutually agreeable date, I suggested Monday August 12 or Wednesday August 14 and the reply was, it was impossible. Since Priced Rite Tree Removal, LLC did not meet their own terms and conditions of the agreement, it is only fair and reasonable to refund my $380.00 deposit for breach of contract in good faith of anticipated services. The agreement states that deposits are not refundable, however, it also states a time when services would be rendered, and that obligation wasnt met. I am asking for a refund of the $380.00 for breach of contract.

Customer service remains a top priority for us, and would like to resolve this issue amicably. If, in fact, the customer wishes to cancel the contract, we are willing to do so, pending a signed cancelation form by customer. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable, as stated in the contract. All the same, we are still willing and happy to provide the services, and as a measure of good faith apply a $100 discount to the total cost. ************ may contact us directly to inform us of her final decision.

I hired Priced Rite to remove a rather large tree in my back yard with ***** and root removal. Prices Rite removed the tree, but left a lot of the ***** and roots. I had the work performed in the winter 12/22-1/23 and didnt learn of all the roots and ***** left untreated until I tried hiring a landscaper in 6/23 to landscape the area. I had two different companies to come out and tell me my ***** and roots needed to be ground in order to proceed with my landscaping project. I was surprised because this is a service I had paid for with Priced Rite. I began calling the company, and the owner *** around June 1st 2023 I was told repeatedly that *** would stop by my house to take a look at whats going on, but never given a specific date as to when this visit would occur. I explained the situation in detail and now we are here 6/22/23 and I have yet to receive a specific date as to when the company or *** will even come out to see what was left behind, very different from the prompt service I received when they came for an estimate and to pick up my deposit.I paid the company in full in good faith assuming all work was completed accurately. I hired them to shave this same tree 4 years ago and had no issues with the service at that time. I have a lot of mulch where the tree use to be from years of covering the tree roots, it wasnt until the landscaper cleared the mulch with his foot to expose the remaining ***** and roots. Two different companies informed me that I would need to have the ***** and roots ground before i could proceed with landscaping in that area. I should not have to pay anyone else for services that was previously paid for and not performed by Priced Rite ********************* I gave them a great review previously, but had to change it once I learned of the lack of service provided, and their unwillingness to correct this issue in a timely manner. Im sure they wouldnt except me not paying them in full. I want the service I paid for completed.

Subject: Re: You have a New Message from BBB Serving Northern *******, Complaint #********

I would like to thank the Better Business Bureau for their assistance in resolving my issue with Priced Rite Tree Service.
They came right out and completed the job removing the remaining ***** and roots.
The company asked that I withdraw the complaint.
I would like to have the complaint withdrawn at this time since Price Rite did come back and complete the job.

    Thank you

I signed a contract on June 6 2022. Payed a $1500 deposit on the tree service and they called me last week with a 2 hour notice that the work could begin but I was not prepared. I told them they need to give me more of a heads up. I called this week and only received a voicemail and left my information once again and no call back. Either do the work or give me my deposit back.

I received a flyer for a tree ***** removal service. I called this business and a man came to my house on 05/04/22 to give me an estimate of $300 to remove 2 tree stumps in my front yard. The man asked for half of the payment immediately ($150) and I could pay the other half ($150) after the service was completed on 05/10/22. The man agreed to come and complete the service on 05/10/22. When no one came to do the service, I called the business on 05/11/22 and left a voicemail message but no one has called me back. The business cashed my check on 05/06/22.

We met with ************** on 5/6/22 at which time she signed up for service as stated. However, the contract expressly states that the estimated time frame for service is 1-3 weeks. We are unable to schedule service dates immediately at sign up, so it is unclear why she expected service on 5/10.  We have no record of a call or voicemail from ************** on or about 5/11/22. We will be contacting ************** right away in hopes of clearing up the miscommunication.

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: it isn't true, BUT the business came to my house yesterday (05/20/22) and completed the job. The workers were very professional and polite and they did a good job in removing my two tree stumps and a ****. They put black dirt down and grass seeds after removing the tree stumps. They completed the job satisfactorily. I am closing my complaint. Thank you BBB for your assistance in this matter.
