I paid $50 for a coat alteration on a $350 down ****** knee-length coat. I had damaged the bottom by burning and I wanted it hemmed so my coat was no longer ruined. The woman who took my coat told me that hemming it would be ugly and that a patch was what she *************** coat came back with a literal childs job of sewing. The patch is literally barely hanging on, each of the stitches is actually loose and looped out, it looks so horrendous and has actually completely ruined the coat. She did not fix all of the damage, leaving holes just outside of the patch. It looks truly like a beginner sewer would have done. The fabric doesnt even closely resemble my coat, which she told me it would be a little off. Its literally like baseball pants material on a $350 coat. I could have done a better job, but I brought it to a professional in the hopes of having a professional job! Anyway, I am still crying over the loss of my beautiful coat and I hope this business sees some repercussions for their shoddy workmanship.

    Dear,

I have more than 30 years experience in tailoring.
I remember the customer. She paid $45.
The coat could not be easily sewed with a machine because of the material, So I wanted to do it by hand sewing.
I told the customer the coat could not be good for hemming.
I explained the whole situation to her and it could not be the same perfect shape as new.
I do not understand why the customer did not complain to me directly if she was not satisfied.
I can re-do it with her. If not, I am willing to refund her.
How come she lost her beautiful coat? I did not cut for hemming or any damage.

Anyhow, thank you very much for handling this kind of complaint.
Let me know what to do next.

    Sincerely,
