6/24/24 We agreed to an alarm system with D&I. Salesperson, *****, suggested a "take-over" of the current equipment in our home. It's equipment he has worked with for years and he felt it was best and most cost effective to start up our system for $70. He suggested adding his security cameras in areas outside our home that we could not capture with our 2 current RING cameras. At install his workers were only able to install 2 cameras without exposing wires around the home which we clearly told ***** we would not agree to. They installed the 2 cameras exactly where we already have the RING's, NOT in the areas where ***** told us they would go. The cameras were not set up on our phone by D&I until August where 1st we learned they had no motion detection, no alerts and basically were useless to us compared to the RING cameras we have in that exact same area. Next they couldn't get in to "take-over" the system as he told us due to a password protect and he needed to find us a used panel. ?? After numerous service calls, we finally alarmed the system for the 1st time 8/3 and it went off during my daughter's wedding - A FALSE alarm as the system did not work properly again. Now we were told it might be a bad motion detector. Another service call 9/4, they changed the motion yet the system still does not work. Today they want to schedule another service call to figure it out. We do not want to continue with this company. They have now charged us $2,000 in return trips & faulty equip & will agree to cancel but not agree to return any money. We have not received a working alarm system as we were promised and should not be charged for them to continue to try to figure this mess out. ***** has been very difficult to talk to and unprofessional in his responses back. I told him on the last call several weeks ago that we were not giving them any more chances. He promised it would be fixed on 9/4 service call but it is still not fixed.
