I went to the Apple Store Orland square mall on 25th of may. On this day these are the events that transpired. I traded in 3 old apple items I had for some store credit: a Mac mini, a iPad mini, and iPad Pro. I got a separate gift card for all three totaling around $1070. One gift card for the iPad mini had $250 on it. The other gift card for the iPad Pro had $510 on it. The last gift card for the Mac mini had $310 on it. Now once I had these gift cards and the trade ins were completed, I used them to purchase a new MacBook Air in the store that same day that cost me $1068.93 and so I was left with about $1.07 on one of the remaining gift cards.Fast forward about 1-2 week after I got the MacBook and used it just fine for a while. However while I was using it I realized that for the work I am trying to accomplish I need the MacBook Pro not the MacBook Air. So I sent back the MacBook air in the mail almost 3 weeks ago now on July 14. I was suppose to receive a new refund gift card in my inbox for $1068.93 which is the complete refund amount. I never received the email. The company policy states clearly on the website that is their policy for purchases made using a gift card. This is also what I was told in the store while making the return. Quote copy pasted from apple com legal **Refunds on products purchased from Apple using an Apple Gift Card (or previous generations of Apple gift cards) will be issued to you as an Apple Gift Card by email. If youd like us to send you a physical Apple Gift Card by mail, ask the representative helping you.**This policy was not followed. After not following their own policy, an Apple employee themselves took the old card codes with the money on it $1068.93redeemed it to their own account (or sent it offshore for someone else to redeem into a said account) ********************** has refused to help me with this and law enforcement has also denied me service. I dont know what to do I am super lost and any sort of help is appreciated. Thanks!
