      In 2/15/24 I deposited $850.00 in the hand of Mr. **** *********************** the representative of Mr. Handyman of Grayslake IL. As a part of the cost of a job I had asked him to perform. This job has never performed. 6 days later I asked the company to return my money. They didnt want to do so, and regardme to Mr. *********************** their representative. Many times I called him and repeatedly wrote him asking to return my money, and he, sarcastically talked to me, refusing to return my money back. Eventually I warmed him to complain to the authorities about him. He said I wouldnt ever do it. Here Im complaining and hope you can Help me recover my money and warn others not to fall into such a dis honest company and its representatives such as Mr. *********************** Thank you in advance God bless you. ***********************

      On October 31, 2023, I scheduled an appointment with Mr. Handyman of Grayslake regarding installing new windows in our home. **** Morehouse and one of his associates arrived at my home to discuss new windows. Upon talking with Mr. *********************** I thought we were getting a good deal so I put a deposit of $2,500. my contract with him does not state that I would loose my deposit if I changed my mind nor did he mention this verbally. Later on that night upon watching cable showed that Window Works was offering a better deal. So I called the next day November 1, 2023 and spoke with ****** at Mr. ********************** informing her that I wanted to cancel my contract because I was going with another company that offered a better deal. **** *********************** called me and told me he was not obligated to return my deposit and was not going to return my deposit. But he would match the other company offer. Upon trying to communicate with him and realizing that I wasn't getting no where with him I contacted the law of ************************************************** through Legal ******* and spoke with attorney *************************. She reviewed my contract and was in agreement with me that there's no reason for him to not return my deposit. She prepared papers and served him on November 16, 2023. He contacted her and informed her that he still was not returning the money. So **************** recommended that I file a complaint with BBB, file a complaint with the ******** ************************* and file a complaint to have him summons to small claims lawsuit.We deserve to have our money returned because his own contract does not state that I would lose our deposit. I'm on disability and I don't have money to just throw away. Please help me!
