FJR Tree Inc. was hired to provide fungus treatment to the trees in the backyard of my home. In April of 2022, I requested that the company schedule my treatment service for 2022, which consisted of two applications to be performed in Spring / Summer, per the service provider. I also specifically requested (via email on 4/22/22) that they contact me when scheduling would be available for said services. The responded via email (4/24/22) that they would contact me once scheduling became available. The reason I wanted to be made aware of when they were coming for service was that the condition of my trees was visibly worse than when the treatments had begun the prior year - I had hired the company to begin treatments in 2021, but still the trees had not made any visible improvements yet. This is the reason why I wanted to witness how and where they were supposedly applying the treatments. They company did not contact me again until 8/4/22, when they sent me an invoice and claimed that two treatments had been performed. However, I and my wife both work from home and we never saw any company employees come to our home to perform treatments on the trees. We simply received an invoice from the company for the alleged services performed, even though we had no proof that any treatments had, in fact, been performed. When I raised concerns to the company, they told me that all their other customers have been satisfied and I should simply 'trust' that they had rendered services as promised. I tried calling the company at their listed phone number to discuss the issue and never reached a staff member on the phone. Eventually, the company told me that if I didn't pay the bill in full that my account would be sent to collections. This threat was quite disturbing to me, as I take the protection of my credit score very seriously (currently 781). With no recourse, I paid the bill in full, but I felt taken advantage of in that I paid $960 for a service never performed.
