I enrolled In chamberlain university online program in January 2025. Due to miscommunication from there student finance department I was left with an outstanding balance of approximately 591 dollars, after requesting to withdraw on 1/8/2025 because I didnt have the funds to fully cover my tuition . It wasnt until after enrolling that I found out the amount of financial aid the student finance advisor told me I would receive was inaccurate. When I initially enrolled I wasnt made aware of withdrawal fees percentage that would be due in the event I had to withdraw from a course. Also its less difficult to get someone to answer in student advising , or admissions but its almost impossible to have someone answer when you call to speak with a student finance advisor. I feel this is a poor way to run a FOR PROFIT educational institution. I want to hear from someone in the student finance department to get further clarification about this charge on my account and also the accurate amount of financial aid I have.Business Response

This School has been nothing but a complete headache. After paying so much money, we get absolutely no assistance. I was registered for my last course for this program, I already paid over $1400 just to secure a practicum site, because again this school failed in their promise to help students secure a practicum site. Therefore we are forced to go through 3rd parties in order to find a preceptor. I started my class and practicum only to receive an email that I am being dismissed from the university because there was a drop in my gpa. Why werent the grades submitted earlier? Before registering me and approving everything else for me to continue?Business Response

To whom it may concern,I am filing this complaint as I have tried everything I possibly can up until this point to resolve this issue. I am currently enrolled as a graduate student in the Masters of Science Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University. I have been having great difficulty in being registered for my final course, NR 667, which is beginning September 4th, 2023. I submitted the practicum application months in advance and ultimately was told that I am not being registered due to my clinical site requiring a Hepatitis B titer. I went and completed this to avoid a delay in registration. Due to my non-immune status, I did also receive a hepatitis B booster. I submitted proof of immunization and completion of hepatitis B antibody to Chamberlain University **************************** as requested on 8/8/23. Since then I have sent multiple correspondences to the Experiential Learning Coordinators (ELC), Health Compliance, and **************** (**** of Nursing) without resolution of this issue or any communication from anyone. I was told Friday, 8/11/23 that my clinical site had no replied back to confirm clinical clearance; I forwarded email confirmation that I had received from the clinical site coordinator ******************* to which I was informed by ELC was not sufficient and they needed to receive this notification from the site itself. I informed ***** of this and she sent over clinical clearance. Now, today I am still not registered and I contacted Chamberlain Academic advising **** today (was on hold for over 30 minutes), per the representative they are now waiting on Complio (compliance third-party company the university uses) to upload to their system that I am compliant with hepatitis B titer. I received confirmation from Complio on 8/11/23 that I am compliant. In the Chamberlain compliance tab when I log into my account it indicates pending review (I was informed that ELC is responsible for approving once they received confirmation of completion of hep b titer which they have since 8/8/23). I am not getting any straight answers, nor is anyone that is able to facilitate and complete my registration for my last course. I am seeking assistance with this. I have attached all communication regarding this issue.Business Response

I have reached out numerous times over the last week to actually speak to a member of the *** practicum department regarding an urgent issue I am facing currently in my practicum course, NR579. I reached out to my instructor and to *** during week 2 which was last week about the issue, created a support case, and have since called FIVE TIMES practically begging to speak to someone over the phone from *** regarding questions I have that are directly affecting me and my graduation date. I keep getting people in academic advising that give me the run around of "you will hear from someone in 3 business days," or "I've escalated the case to my manager," which are all lies. I have requested numerous times for a phone call and they emailed me instead not discussing anything I was requesting to speak to them about. Due to them not responding, closing my support cases without contacting me, and not helping me in any way shape or form, I am now more than likely going to have to withdraw from my course (not to mention pay AGAIN to re-take this class when I could have withdrawn sooner and not owed as much money) and they aren't giving enough time for me to even re-apply or find practicum sites to re-take the course in September!! I am supposed to graduate in October and now because they refuse to support their students and respond in a timely manner, I am going to have to push my graduation date back until next year. This is absolutely ridiculous, unacceptable, and embarrassing to attend a school that is this disrespectful towards the students who are paying an outrageous amount of money to attend and especially their graduate students!! The *** department does not take direct phone calls so no matter what I do, I continue to get the same standard responses without any resolution. All I want is a simple phone call back to discuss my issue and how to move forward, but that is apparently too much to ask.Business Response

I am in Chamberlain University as a student. To date i have paid about ****** for the Master's Degree in nursring . Currently in the *** program. The tuition charges for fees that cover ***- Experential Learning Coordination assist with registering for class and approval of Practicum site. As a student I have met the requirement of filing an application for practicum site well in advance of the 8 weeks suggested time the school has. The *** has not been providing timely details such as I found out after two month my application site name needed to be changed? The school failed to notify me of this- now that I have corrected that problem, I am still not regisered for class nor to my opened tickets get attention. They are closed without follow up. My current class ends in two days and I have not been registered- I'm still pending facultiy approval- which has been " awaiting faculty approval for about 4 weeks, This delay has the potential to make me sit out a class session. Which means I am not getting what I am paying for. I attempted to resolve the matter by reaching out to the ****- requested a call back- she never would call but instead answered the email with " we are working on it and *** will handle and I've expedited this matter" that was three weeks ago. Due to the meotional distress and anxiety I am seeking legal advice. This is a private school charging a lot of money- and an additional ****** fee that should cover these such matters. I have made over 10 phone calls - last one being yesterday, and sent several emails and created multiple tickets for *** to address. Basically tons of students are in the same boat. Sound like the makings for class action law suit.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I'm currently as I type this response, on hold for 15 min because ELC did not finalize and load my preceptor site and preceptor into the MyEvaluations portal. As a result I'm unable to chart my practicum notes. To succeed in this program I must stay on track. Not have delays cause by ELC. Admin does not even reach out. They don't care. We are paying hefty tuition. We deserve better response
Sincerely,
