    2011 vehicle with 195k miles on it. Called, requested transmission flush by appt. We brought it in. The service person did not ask us if we've ever had any regular service done to the vehicle before starting the job. They did not say that if we did this service there's a chance to ruin the transmission. We are not mechanics and was unaware that if you Flush a vehicle that hasn't had regular service, that it would stir metal shavings around the transmission and ruin it. (I ****** it after the fact and this is the first thing that comes up). They did however, make recommendations on other services they could charge us for, on top of the transmission flush. We did take their recommendations seriously. So they do make suggestions/recommendations. Here we are two weeks later and the transmission is failing and Midas will not do anything to help us. They said that they don't ask questions about vehicles before starting work. I find that this company is very shady. It is a companies responsibility, that is in the ************ industry, to make recommendations on vehicle repairs. If I asked them to put oil in the gas tank would they...because I asked them to? NO. The transmission is being replaced for 3k at another shop and I am not very happy. PLEASE BE AWARE OF MIDAS
