    They walked away from finishing a restoration job on our house. The settlement they forced on us with their lawyer was far short of what it would cost to finish work they refused to do and repair mistakes and sub-par workmanship. They made up an excuse that we had created an adversarial relationship and an uncomfortable work environment. The real reason was that the reconstruction was costing them more money and time than they had planned.

    **** Davis Restoration worked with the customers insurance company to get an approved budget for extensive repairs to the customers home. Insurance companies provide a budget to return the property to its pre-loss state. Insurance companies do not provide funds for upgrades or work outside of the damage caused by the loss. The customer signed a work authorization approving the budget and scope of work prior to work beginning. The customer, insurance adjuster, and **** ********************** team walked the property at the completion of the project and the customer signed a certificate of completion stating that the work had been completed as outlined in the scope of work. **** Davis agreed that there was a punch list that needed to be completed. Unfortunately, none of the contractors who had worked on the project were willing to return to the property due to the adversarial work environment. **** Davis agreed to give the customer a credit on their final invoice for final punch list items to be completed by a contractor of their choosing. The credit included the Xactimate pricing for each remaining line item that was included in the original scope of work. The customers insurance company also agrees that **** Davis completed the scope of work agreed upon at this property.
